Crap, I was hoping for something faster but luckily I was able to pay for Priority shipping for my +. I spoke to someone, today (Friday Dec 15) and they said it was ready to ship but I didn’t receive a label at all and Fedex said there was nothing in their system for the package. So I’m assuming it hasn’t shipped yet. Do they ship on Saturdays or does FM only operate on weekdays?
Happy, happy, happy! I hope it stays this way but I tested it on 2 OW+'s on my Android device and they both connect without issues. Finally I can hopefully reliably check my battery status. This is more important in the colder weather where my range is reduced.
I am running Nougat V7.1.1 My carrier finally released an update for me this morning so I immediately checked my OW connection performance.
@jeff-schwaninger just saw this from @nicksmename in another thread, maybe try this: On a flat surface. Plug in the charger to the board. Long press the button until the charger color changes. Disconnect and turn back on.
@fkra I sent my board in on oct 3rd. I only had it for two weeks before it stopped charging. On nov 6 th I had still heard nothing from FM do I called and was told they would get back to me. Next day I got an email Saying it would be $400+ to fix it and as soon as they got my money they would start the repair. I explained it was only two weeks old and had not been submerged or even gotten wet other than a puddle or two. They replied back saying they would cover the cost of repair and offer 10% off repairs. What?? That’s confusing. Long story short I still don’t have my board or an answer to if and when I’ll ever get it back. What kind of people would do this to anyone let alone young people some of who saved for years to get a onewheel. I am exploring legal options and possible private investigation involvement.
I feel deeply sorry for you. I know exactly how you feel. Just went through the same experience you are encountering.
Sent 1 of our board for repair. Thinking it is covered under warranty. Days lapsed before any response. They found faults and I requested proof and so they sent me photos of damages. They claimed water damages and gave me a lot of tips on how to avoid them. My question is why is this tip and information to prevent water damage malfuctions not given to me before use. I am not admitting guilt because it is my sons board and I dont know when and where he uses it.
I have been offered discount for a turn around repair. I had thought that my warranty would have covered any failure. At this point I realized they offered me no appealing options .Anyways I just paid the ransom and moved forward. They had my board and it still needed new parts, I know legal actions is so not worthed.
From what I have observed, there seems to be a pattern in damages that relates to the battery and/or BMS. If they dont resolve this issue, their reputation will soon catch up to sales.
Hey everyone, thanks again for your helpful replies.
I kinda figured a bike pump wouldn't do it, but I don't have an air compressor so here's what I did. I lubed the crap out of it with some dish soap and took it to a gas station this AM. I inflated it WAY up to like 55 and POP! one side seated. I let all the air out, reapplied more lube and inflated it again, pushing to 60. POP! the other side went in (just about gave me a heart attack!). So it's seated.
Here's my new dilemma. Somewhere during all this, I pulled the little round 5 pin / 6 pin (whatever) plug clean off the wire. I think that's for the foot pads. My plan is to try and get it apart and hopefully I'll be able to figure out which wire to which pin.
I'm way outta warranty territory now, LOL. Anyway, thanks again for your posts. I honestly didn't expect to have to inflate it soooo much, but hopefully, it's a good lesson for those who post after me. 60lbs or so seemed to do it (just when you think the dang thing is gonna blow up!).
Cheers, and happy riding.
