It could be that the board thinks you want to go the opposite way. Try pushing the board with your foot in the direction you want to go, you should feel resistance and it will tell the board which direction you intend to go. I have the same issue on my orig OW and this is always the cause. good luck
The power button is only a momentary on switch that signals the CPU to wake up or go to sleep. If you couldn't turn it on or off, then I would say it is the switch. However you say you cannot turn it on but you can turn it off. That may mean another problem within the control board's digital logic (ie - contact and send back to FM). I know of no official way to do a hard reboot of the OW. Perhaps press on the power button and hold it for 15 - 30 seconds to see if that does anything?
@capodeltoro Actually, you forgot one of the most important words in that first sentence, AND. I'll let it slide though, I'm having so much fun on my Onewheel I'd probably buy you both a burrito just for the hell of it. I have a wife and kids though so we need to keep this whole thing platonic.
There are covers for both (different source for each item). Search the FB pages or wiki for the links. Meanwhile, use masking tape (I used green painter's tape) on runs where water could be present on your ride.
@redboyjan between the charger and the BMS, there is quite a bit of control that goes into the electrical current. Conventionally speaking, yes, he is likely right. In this specific case? I'm not certain. He may be an engineer, but pretty sure FM has their own engineers. They made a point to mention an order to which you plug your board in, I don't think that was happenstance. If you could plug it in any old way there wouldn't be specific instructions.
@mtruby82 I do it the opposite and have not had an issue. Interesting enough th 2 times I did it the way you do it I had to send the board back to FM.
FM also recommend to connect charger to wall first and then charger to board second...
