One of the saddest OneWheel videos you'll ever see

  • They make it look so easy :unamused:

  • You know, riding on the grass is hard until you learn to listen to the board. Based on my experience learning, I'd guess they're at around day 2. So that's not really that bad.

  • @akraut Yeah, it's more about it being Gwynyth Paltrow, an annoying actress who probably just bought it so she could show off on her Instagram page that she had one, and it now sits in her 6 car garage with all the expensive cars she never drives.

And not to brag (maybe to brag a little) this was me on the grass on my first day riding: https://vimeo.com/149564692

  • @thegreck The hard part about grass is if it's wet and slippery, or just very uneven (and hard to tell exactly how much).
A lot harder to ride than say concrete. Especially if it's "bad" grass.
Still, that's some pretty rad first day riding indeed. I could believe first day, but not first few charges :P

  • @germx It was actually first charge, first day. Thing is, it took me a while before I got any better than I was on the first day.

  • @thegreck Damn, we have a natural :D My first charge wasn't bad. But I was riding in a sport hall.

About 10 minutes in on the first charge. So I wouldn't say bad, but not a spectacular video compared to yours :P

  • @germx Mine just had better production value and a more dramatic camera angle (GoPros make everything look more extreeeeeme). Your tight-quarter maneuvers were really impressive for the first day! That would be impressive for week 3, really.
