OWheelBuddy goes online - let's start the competition
37.49mph--i suggest that there is no speed limit, only gravity and pushback. your onewheel can go over 100mph--if you throw it out of a plane.
i ride on dirt and grass and can burst about 23 before my tire starts to slip. this speed and anyone else's top speed means fuckall when i can only ride comfortably around 13 without having to negotiate waves of pushback.
fuck pushback. god bless @ahxe45 .
But what I can tell you is that the Odometer also resets when your Board completely shuts off while riding. In my case I tried to accelerate too quick with about 5% battery at -2 degree Celsius.
@SeeTheInvisible Just had a full reset of the odometer while having a full shutdown of the machine.
Last ODO was 260kM approx... if you could confirm that on the server?
Just got a Great idea: what about planing your trips in the app. According to riding-habbits, ups and downs, typical rider-specific range etc. Should be possible but maybe to mich effort for a Hobby.
@Solaranlage Ehh. Not really needed. I'd rather just lurk my local area looking for spots and catch a charge at any coffee shop or bar I see.
I'm on my third tire and I changed them myself. I don't want my odometer reset. That's one of the things I love about OWbuddy. Vega got 1060 miles, the Hoosier slick got 528 miles and my current tire will probably get close to what the Vega did..
Am I understanding this correctly... the odometer on the OW will reset if you are riding and the battery dies? I went from 550 miles to 4 on the odometer reading... That doesn't make sense to me
@tonyrumans It takes more than that. I used to ride my OW till it low-battery pushed me off all the time and never had a lifetime odometer reset until I had an accidental dismount in cold weather. What a bummer to lose those proud 800+ miles!
@dcosmos I guess after thinking about it mine must have happened after my ride home on Sunday night. I wonder if it's due to an electrical failure... "total electrical fire" -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Z2KLw2Pu2IU
One out of the two of my boards consistently resets the miles all the time. I haven't found any rhyme or reason as to why it's doing it. When the miles reset it also puts it back in classic mode.
I've contacted @SeeTheInvisible a few times about this issue. I believe he is working on a fix (backing up the leaderboard score and adding the odo reading to that score every time).
It's too bad. I'd be coming up on 3500 miles! I wonder if I had a friend with an android what the odo reading in the other android app would be... (not Owheelbuddy but the other app).
