Top handle for Fender

  • I have long lobbied to have a top handle to assist with sending. The latest fender from FM is stout enough to incorporate. I'm going to build some features where this should come in 🖐️ handy 😬➖🌎➖0_1487543575885_IMG_20170219_171147-2024x1518.jpg

  • @ashewheeler
What's the purpose of this handle?
Make jumps and figures acrobatics or is it to carry the Onewheel?

  • I don't get it ...

  • It's like when you were a kid and tied a rope or a bungee around your skateboard.

And your older brother was on the bike pulling the bungee while you broke your face in the corners!:(:(:(....trauma's, trauma's LOLOL

  • Sick!!!
I'm thinking bigger drops will be possible as you can early grab. Also John, can you pop up curbs with it?

  • @jeffmccosker yessir it's heAvy though and will really work your forearm muscles. Pregrab drops definitely and prespin before launch to land switch for instance, like how these groms already spin a 360 before leaving the lip. It's definitely calling on my tai chi muscles to get low and stable at the same time.

  • @s2kboy Think about hopping off a curb, or hopping over a parking curb. This is a way to be able to yank the board up to do ollies, which opens up your ride to a lot of new possibilities.

  • I want to see the first ow boneless 360

  • @thegreck I can't imagine someone having a long enough arm to yank 25 lbs. upward while crouched enough to clear a curb at speed.

  • @dcosmos it can be done for sure. It sounds a lot harder than it is but once you get the timing right it doesn't feel like 25lbs.

  • @ahxe45 I look forward to the video

  • I've been waiting for my OW+ to see how burly the fender might be for this sort of thing. If it's solid enough to feel like a structural component, this is the next progression, yup for sure.

Not saying I could do it, or would even attempt it, but I'd certainly be willing to watch a video of someone else trying it!
