Origin?

It's my understanding that the Onewheel board is assembled in the USA (California?), but where is the motor itself manufactured? USA? China?
-
Everything is made in china.. Lol
-
I would greatly appreciate an answer to my original question: ...
WHERE is the motor manufactured? USA?... China?.... Taiwan?.... etc.
-
Pretty sure its built in house. So USA
-
@BadWolf I could be wrong but I thought they only did the assembly in house..

In the factory tour video (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KrPRvP2H_v0), Kyle Doerksen says that "the motor is custom developed for us," which makes me think an outside company makes it. I doubt they'd try to take on something like motor development when so many other companies already could do it better. He also mentions that parts come in from all over the world for the creation of a OneWheel, they're just assembled in the US. It would be nice to know what company makes the motor though.

If you google brushless hub motor you will discover that they are all made overseas. I could not find one U.S. manufacturer - not surprising though.

The box says "designed and assembled in California." To claim it is "Made in the U.S.A." , the FTC states" "all significant parts and processing that go into the product must be of U.S. origin.": https://www.ftc.gov/tips-advice/business-center/guidance/complying-made-usa-standard
