RE: Get your refund while you still can!!!!!
I have bought 3 fenders from him so far, and each time everything was perfect - this is for sure bullshit.
In my opinion those are the only fenders with an appropriate style for the OW, because all others are too broad which makes them look clumsy.
RE: What does app HUD thingies mean?
@hoverlover : usage means the battery consumption since the last time you connected to the board. so allthough i guess it won‘t be exactly correct, I think
initial available battery - usage + regen = actual available battery
(only valid for the actual „session“ of the connected app. so if you close/disconnect the app during the ride, this would be of course not correct, because those are not absolute values but just values the app increments from
messages received from the board while it is connected)
RE: Hoosier Treaded Tire & Rubbing (w/ solution)
@gwinntanamo: Thanks a lot for sharing this experience!
I am also one, who can´t imagine going back to the vega. I have a Hoosier on my OW original since a long time and I replaced the vega with a hossier on my OW+ after the first 30 miles, because I just hated beeing without it.
So I really appreciate this information about a hossier that can be inflated more to give even a better rounded shape and more range without any need to remove some material.
may I ask you to upload an image, where I can see the distance between the tire and the footpads on both sides with your solution?
thanks a lot!
RE: Onewheel Ultra
I would welcome an "ultra" version.
but i just want the tire to be like about 6-8 cm larger in diameter, which would result in 3-4 cm more ground clearance. the larger diameter of the rim should be used for a stronger motor, but this will also require more battery (which I do already have a demand for at the current version).
would be even better for offroad riding. more torque, more ground clearance, larger tire will better handle uneven terrain (hugher stones...).
but i would only pay up to ~2300€ for such an upgrade...
RE: 13" tire on V1
@sonny123: great mod!
wonder how you are going to deal with extra length? i am quite sure you will need the stability/rigidity of all the components mounted in the right place...ideal way would be to make longer custom rails (like one guy in the FB group is working on), but this seems quite some effort to me...what´s your plan?
anyway, I would have always loved some extra ground clearance for offroading due to a larger tire!
