@jdb - was the app connected when your + nose dived? If so about what speed did it happen? The + is capable of sustaining 20mph in mission pretty effortlessly so if you nose dived at around that speed, then a board limitation failure, if you were below 20mph when it nose dived, possibly riding technique.
@parrothd - not sure if your aware but swapping your tire may void your warranty. I was told by FM that just replacing the grip tape on the pads voids your warranty, which is really kind of lame.
Btw I swapped the tire on both my v1's and changed the grip tape. My plus remains unmolested until I'm sure I won't have to send it back for anything.
@jew_fro_1009 - I asked FM about warranty and grip tape on the V1 and they told me it would void my warranty. I'm not sure if they meant for the entire board or just for the pads if they were an issue.
It's totally hit and miss. You might make it out of seatac but not be able to board your return flight. Best bet is to deflate the tire and break it down and put it in your bags. Only takes out 20mins tops.
A group of us are looking into it. Way on the horizon but thats the only place we could figure to put them. I believe you will need 18cels(or multiples of 18 if they can fit) in the fender to get the correct voltage. I think you would want to buld a pack with the same chemistry and as close to the capacity if the internal pack as possible and run it in parallel. Maybe by the end of summer.
