  I would guess that it senses the amount of current being drawn to power the motor.... basically the harder it is working, the more power it takes. They most likely pushback at a safe point before the motor just couldn't handle the load.

  This dismount sensor issue was due to my foot placement on the deck and not waiting the couple of seconds needed to disengage... I was too used to the larger XR deck and sensors.

  @sasair I asked the exact same question on the phone with @Future-Motion over a year ago when my + was approaching 1000 miles. The answer then was "we'll look into it, but it should be available soon". So, go figure.

  @Cooler-Racer I believe that guy/company that makes the magnetic fender should just about have their Pint version ready to go. They post/comment on Instagram a ton and keep mentioning it there.

  @Mark-Vlogs I did sort of the same thing you did. I put a deposit down at a local dealer in IL for a Slate board, they told me they were getting one Sage board but it was already on hold. A month later the dealer called me to ask if I wanted to switch to Sage, they said the person who held it bailed because of the last push back. So I scooped it up instead of the slate board.

  There are photos of the surestance pads installed in the pint facebook group. I don't want to cross-post them since it's a closed group and they're not my photos. Functionally they're the same as the stock pads, but wood instead of plastic. No concave; just as flat.

  I'd focus more on the hop off (both feet, same time) dismount TBH. Anytime you think you're going to bail, you can just jump off. Also, just want to point out, the board is extremely intuitive. As a result, I tend to psych myself out a lot, and that's usually when I fall. Start practicing the "Screw that, I'm not going to bail" mentality and I bet you'll fall a good deal less. ;)
