@SlinkyMan You should be fine. Give it a good overnight charge and ride it again the next day.

@kyosya. A Onewheel moving on its own sounds to me like a problem with the grip tape over the sensor. Search YouTube for videos on replacing your grip tape -- or get a new footpad. Get an app to check your battery cell voltages for balance -- I use the Onewheel Community Edition app, but there are others. (Note: the XR only has 15 cells, while the Plus and V1 have 16, so for the XR one cell of the 16 in the app will read weirdly.) A solution I have read but not really tried for rebalancing the battery cells to get a more accurate percentage reading is to drain your battery to 'Captain Morgan' low battery pushback, turn the Onewheel off and wait a moment, drain it some more and again until it will no longer turn on, then charge it for 24-72 hours -- and hopefully that will correct the issue.

@paylork its a battery cell imbalance. FM will ask you to run it down flat, then put it on the charger for 48hrs. Worst case the battery will need replacing. I hope you still have warranty.

Probably all is well. Don't get hung up on the "range" statistic. That's just a calculation based on your recent history and is notoriously inaccurate. When it shut off on you, was there an error message? Were you at 1 mph or less? Could be you footpad sensor released on one side so it thought you were trying to get off. Or a motor stall detect, which also can happen at very low speed. Check your footpad sensors and tire pressure. If okay, ride it and see what happens.

@eckit That's one of the early stages... soon you'll be staring at grassy hills and looking for grass bowls to ride when out with friends.

The power button is only a momentary on switch that signals the CPU to wake up or go to sleep. If you couldn't turn it on or off, then I would say it is the switch. However you say you cannot turn it on but you can turn it off. That may mean another problem within the control board's digital logic (ie - contact and send back to FM). I know of no official way to do a hard reboot of the OW. Perhaps press on the power button and hold it for 15 - 30 seconds to see if that does anything?

Yeah I keep asking for other opinions. I'm reading some people say to hold down a power button, some say just the 48 hr charge, some say it miraculously fixes itself. Trying to get as many options as possible. I was reading old posts in hopes that someone gets notified and comes out of the woodwork with a solid fix.

@brosiah_reloza No, the battery is enclosed. You can try explaining to them the difference between the batteries. The hoverboard uses a lithium ion battery (which can explode and is also highly toxic) and the OneWheel uses a lithium iron phosphate battery (which doesn't explode and is non-toxic).
