An announcement for the Android users amongst us
-
Today is the first day of the rest of your life. The Android app is live. To celebrate, we'll be monitoring our battery levels constantly and switching Digital Shaping settings every 5 minutes. So ride free Android users, you've earned it!!
-
@Future-Motion can't find it right now :( maybe we have to wait a little for having it today?is there a special keyword?
-
Don't see it on the Play store yet. Come on, this is crueller than no announcement at all ;P
-
@C0re I just downloaded it from my Play Store without any problems. I searched OneWheel, it was a few apps down from the top. Good luck!
Thanks @Future-Motion!
-
Still not see it:disappointed_relieved:
-
It's there now, 4 or 5 down from the top when you search onewheel.
-
@Future-Motion excellent stuff - and I also got my fender yesterday! So much to celebrate 🎉. Keep up the good work for us all!

Yessssss! Downloading right now...
But no time to ride in the next days
-
Nope...don't understand ...I'm cursed:scream:
-
-
@OneDream thanks man! But still not possible.."this version is not compatible with my phone" f*******k
-
@Future-Motion App installed but it will not recognize my onewheel. I keep refreshing and nothing. My iPad can find it without a problem. Suggestions?
-
@Aswellie @fabuz Come on, guys... you just said you wanted them to release the Android app, you didn't say you wanted it to work! Haha... j/k! Sorry you guys are having trouble, hope they get it working! I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have an iPhone, as I use the OW app constantly.
-
@thegreck You are absolutely correct about that. But at some point you just have to pull the trigger on a release and squash bugs as they come up. Android is truly a mess to develop for and there is no way to test an app on every iteration for every device without unleashing it on the masses.
-
@thegreck I already have an iphone4s :smile:
-
-
@Aswellie Hey what phone/version of Android are you on?
It'd be probably kinda handy for these guys to debug if there was more info.
-
works like a charm for me. But I don't really see myself using it a lot. Ok...to check the battery maybe...but other than that? there is nothing you can do right? change riding styles and turn on/off lights.
-
@OneDream Pretty much, but checking the battery life is a pretty big one. I use it constantly to see where I'm at on battery life while riding, otherwise you get yourself stranded somewhere and have to lug a 25-pound brick to the nearest outlet.
