Onewheel helmet

  • I've seen Onewheel branded helmet on some videos.
Anyone knows how to get one?
    thanks

  • @sonny123 Pretty sure they just put the OneWheel sticker that comes with the board on their helmet, as a lot of us have.

  • Time for Onewheel to come up with their own branded helmet. ;)

Also, am I the only one who prefer the Onewheel without the fender?
    I think it looks cooler...

  • I also think it looks cooler, but with the weather here in Belgium I'm glad I have one :)

I think most people think it looks cooler, but I ride mine to work and all the dirt and soot from the asphalt was ruining all my good sneakers. And I was also constantly getting a lot of sand and dirt on the back foot pad which made the grip tape slippery.

Oh yeah, and the other day when I was hosing off my magnetic fender (thanks @njcustom) I found a patch of dog crap that would've been all over my pant leg if I didn't have a fender.

    lol.. Makes sense..

Good to know there's optional magnetic fender.
So far, I could live with few pebbles in my shoes..
Haven't ridden on wet or dirt yet..

  • Just the other day, wearing unfamiliar snow boots Onewheeling in the spring snow, I botched a dismount, stumbled backwards, and my helmet gently whacked on pavement. Without the helmet I would have been seeing stars at least, with a headache, too.

Some helmets are literally more cool than others. Having more than one to choose from -- easily on hand in my car -- I wear my coolest helmet in the heat of summer, and warmer ones in cooler and colder seasons.

  • @blkwalnutgrwr -- so glad you are OK! You earned a Gold Star for seeing NO stars! :)

We've been using a pair of old bicycle helmets and other safety gear stashed away since, ummm, the old Rollerblade days. Indeed, we regretted not including new helmets, especially the S1 Retro, with our initial board order last November during the Black Friday/Cyber Monday weekend sale.

Happily, given this week's Helmet Awareness sale, we have two new helmets on order! Hubby wanted the S1 and I chose the Triple 8. We are looking forward to sporting the new look. I think I'll donate my old helmet to the stables down the road ...
