2020 Update: Better Board Shoes Make for Better Riding!
-
@LidPhones Vans in the Ultra Cush series are great for long rides. Flat like a skate shoe, super grippy with shock absorption like running shoes. I did ver 19 miles on the street the other day and my feet didn't even get sore.

@HighFive
I will check those out. A 19 mile ride is a great test for any OW shoe. Appreciate the tip.

I feel this is still relevant for 2020 maybe more so now with the Pint having a smaller tread area.... I still love my Janoski but will likely be checking out some Ultra Cush per @HighFive .

@LidPhones I’ve ridden in just about everything now (Vans, Cons, Nikes, Adidas, New Balance’s, work boots, runners, slippers etc.) and can honestly say when given the option, ALL I ever WANT to ride in is the Vans HD Ultra Cush. The feel/grip/pure-cush-comfort combo is absolutely unparalleled.
I believe this sole is standard issue in any Pro model they offer these days, so you can pick hi top/slip on/whatever your preference.

@a_onekatie
Really appreciate the info. I have found a sweet burgundy slip on set of ultra Cush that I plan to add to my shoe rotation. Pics to follow

Found some great deals at Nordstrom Rack:
Deluxe comfort Vans and some denim Janoski.

@LidPhones vans. Ultra cush or OG

@McFloaty
Sweet stable of kicks you have there....

@LidPhones it’s gotten out of control. A little embarrassed. Used to rib my wife about too many shoes. Clearly the pot or the kettle here

@McFloaty really REALLY digging those maroon Vans!
