Dunno about safe but sure looks fun. Not for all terrain though..
Have you looked into Yuneec E-Go?
Absolutely love that board...
-
@charge360 I'll buy your broken onewheel, how about $100?

@thegreck I would just not as good/quick in development for iOS apps, that being said, if there are any iOS devs out there that want to give it a go I can provide the connection level details to the OW

@parrothd loll sombody have said that my onewheel is broken?
-
@Tartopom Thanks! Yeah I'll look into that. It should be reading the initial state of the lights and set accordingly.

@charge360 Leiftech board and onewheel are unrivalled...I come from the freebord community and Unfortunately my english spoken is too crappy so I don't take the time to explain correctly...just a few things:
#one or two people are dead riding a freebord (head trauma due to heel turn mistake.)
#what is a leiftech board?
It's a motorized freebord.
#leif board is not an off road board.
#with a onewheel the world is your playground.
#good luck to take control of your future leiftech motorized freebord but I hope you'll enjoy your ride !
And just for fun:

See ya dudes!

@fabuz You're the best, man.
-
@charge360 honestly if you think that a motorized freebord will be safer, you are just believing in Santa ;-)
I'm an avid snowboarder living in mountains, 10 min from the slopes to be right. As I was looking for a way to snowboard when snow is gone I had a look at the freebord a long time ago and what I saw is that if you catch an edge the tarmac will be really less forgivable than the snow. So yes, technically you can't get a nosedive, but for me, just for the fact that we can't go more than 25kph on the onewheel make it far more safe than the leaf... I'm practising also e-longboard, mine can reach around 60kph on flat ground, honestly falling at this speed is not an option, and thinking that your knowledge about "tuck and roll" will save you is just a dream :-P
If you want to avoid problem, just wear safety gears, don't ride above your limits, and accept the risk of injury that come with any board sport.

I know that for le leifboard. For the one wheel you dont die but you crash because of the electric failure
-
@Tartopom the problem for the one wheel it that there are a possibly stop engine at top speed that cause crash.
-
I really like the one wheel but i dont accept a problem like that. I can accept of it does't happen to me but it happen without reason. I dont trust one wheel anymore
-
great video :)

This post is deleted!
-
@charge360 And it will be the same with the leaf...the motors can always locks, this will result in crash too.
-
@kwatts great :D I didn't checked but have you renamed the name of the modes? :)
