Removable Side-Handle for Onewheel: AVAILABLE NOW!
-
See ya at the ride today @thegreck !!
-
Nice work guys!
-
wow love it

Cool! I'm going to stop at the dollar store today. I can get a handle off of a tote or something and sew some velcro on. Or I could just use a hanger. I might get something with hooks so I can just remove it. Something left on permanently will just inevitably get snagged and send me flying!

Extremely unlikely, much less inevitable. But that's the beauty of our side-handle, it takes 2 seconds to remove or attach. So you can leave it on or take it off, whichever you prefer.

I prefer to make one for about a dollar. I work at an airport where they discard lost luggage bags. Im going to cut the handles off and sell each one as a limited edition since they will all be different slightly.
-
@Jimmers75 any openings on the first 20 available ?? If not how much is the product and how do I got about purchasing ... Also are you PayPal friendly ?
-
@dirtyjersey I just PMed you.

@frotozoa if you fancy hanging a 25lb/$1400 piece of kit off a dollar handle be my guest. I say this with experience to hand that more often or not 'cheap comes at a price' and you won't find me risking my Onewheel for anything remotely half baked or cheap.
These handles have been designed and produced with strength in mind and ease of use once attached. I ride with my handle on and I put it it through its paces and with over 30 hours of riding with a handle attached I've not come across a situation yet that the handle will cause a problem.
Every handle is tested before its sent to its customer and comes with a warranty if it breaks.
My Onewheel is way to precious a bit of cargo to risk busting for a dollar.

try this.
Put one strip of duck tape around either side .
Place ring finger and pinky behind axle and index in front with thumb on top.
Now you can carry your Onewheel! Its built in! Fancy that!

@thegreck Do you have any of the 20 left in Black?
-
@LidPhones we should be all good with fixing you up with a handle, which is your preference matt black or varnished? Cheers
-
@Jimmers75 I will do the black option. I have the payment details from Greg and will get that out to you before the end of the week. I look forward to using the handle and posting a review.
-
@LidPhones Sorry, I forgot to comment here that I'd PMed you, so that @Jimmers75 wouldn't think you were being ignored.
Jimmy handles sales in UK and Europe and I handle US sales, and I noticed you're in Iowa, so you'll be dealing with me should you choose to purchase one.
-
PRICE REDUCTION! The matte black side-handle will now be an even $50 and the varnished wood side-handle is now $60. I will be refunding $5 to everyone who has already purchased one to date.
And remember, for the first 20 customers, once you receive your side-handle, if you post either 2 photos of the handle in action, or make 2 posts about what you think of it (good or bad), we will send you a $10 refund!
But hurry, because I'm not sure how much longer this will last, because the sales keep rolling in, and it's first-come, first-serve.
-
@thegreck hi dude, I'd PMed jimmers 5 days ago for a varnished handle but still no answer...
-
4-5€
-
Hey @Jimmers75 , did you get our man @fabuz 's PM about the varnished wood handle?
Fabuz, If he doesn't respond to this, I'll contact him directly.

@eric I realize there are cheaper ways to make a handle, and some people think the price is too steep -- which I totally understand. But I came up with something that I thought others could benefit from, and we wanted to offer to people a high-quality, nice-looking product. And with the time and effort and materials that go into making each one, this is currently the best price point we can offer. Hopefully sometime in the future that will change.
I could've cut a plastic bucket in half and used that for a fender, but I chose to buy one of @njcustom 's sweet carbon-fiber deals because having something that looked that nice on my Onewheel that I had already spent so much money on made more sense to me.

@thegreck it's ok now! Thanks man and congrats for this awesome product!
