It's in LA county (a decent trek from LA proper) but I think the Duarte Bike Path/Horse Trail that I was riding in this video is really fun: https://youtu.be/RyyLJQLPlC8

http://bit.ly/2dhDtejIt's a mile stretch of dirt path with a paved bike path beside it, and you can go from one to the other. And to the east of the parking lot, there's a cool little park that's also fun to ride in, with paved paths and grassy hills.
