Portable Power Supply / Pure Sine Inverter
Press the power button on the OW with the charger on
@wr420 still nothing... OW turns on fine but no sign of charging. Amps at 0.
@noahsw is the OW fully charged already? You show 57.97 v in your pic.
@wr420 it's 92% charged. The 57 is the measured output voltage because I've selected 58 in the settings.
From top to bottom on the LCD screen, settings are:
Do I have something flipped?
@wr420 it shows that 57.97 regardless of whether the OW is plugged in.
What side of the solar charger do you have the OW plugged into?
I'm set up the same voltages but when I turn mine on without the OW attached in get 34v in the display as output.
Battery pack should be on the solar panel label and OW on the battery label on the solsr charger.

hmmm I have the same battery...hope you guys get it sorted out
@wr420 yep - that's how I got it...
Could my XLR plug be bad? You don't see any amps until you plug in the OW right?
@wr420 to be clear, when I first start the charger, it's at 42V out. And then it ramps up over a few seconds to the desired 58V.
Do you know for sure that the xlr you bought is wired correctly? Unscrew it and compare it to my pic above. Pins 2 and 3 need to be connected on the positive side.
@wr420 yeah I think that's the problem. Mine has positive on pin 1 and negative on pin 2. They aren't detaching easily so I'll have to figure something out.
Why the heck aren't these things standard?
Thx for all the back and forth. Really appreciate it!
Have you tried plugging it back into the fm charger and see if it charges?
And every time you try to charge with the solar charger press the power button on the OW after you have turned on the solar charger. Some times the OW does not go into its charge mode and the power button will let it start chargjng.
Ok sweet. Fix the xlr and you should be good.
You can unscrew the xlr plug on the OW charger to see how it's soldered and copy it.

I ordered the same plug yesterday, so any details on your fix/mod to the plug would be greatly appreciated!

Sonny also had a great solution for these problems....by cutting the original charging cord and putting a connector in between leaving you with a FM factory detachable xlr connector that can be used on the go or at home...no need to order or make a second connector yourself
check his older posts!!

@sonny123 is this the stick that fits into the OW charge port?
btw I think we should put together a "shopping list" and wiring scheme for a mppt based charger ;)
That's the one.
You really don't need much other than the Solar Charger.
Connectors come handy. I use Andersson Power poles for all my RC gadgets.
You can use any other type, like Dean connectors or bunch of others.
For the inserts that go into the solar charger, I cut 2 short silver wires and soldered.
I'll try to make a video.
