riding goofy on the v2

  • In IOS, go into settings, scroll down to the OW app, tap on the app, scroll down to the bottom under "general", and you should see the "riding goofy" button there.....

  • @carvetherapy Got it--Thanks!

  • Me and my daughter ride goofy. No problems. I checked "riding goofy" in the app while waiting for my OW+:)

  • @donny-h I'm goofy. It makes zero difference. Footpad shape fits a goofy just fine

  • Just got my onewheel+ today and we are all having a tough time dismounting. Is it fine to ride with your back foot on the power pad? It feels way more natural to lift your heel on your back foot. Lifting front foot is hard!

Try pushing your knee forward to cause your foot to rotate onto you toes rather than "lifting". See if that helps.

Otherwise, practice makes perfect. Can also rotate you foot 90 degrees so your heel is on the sensor and your toes are hanging off the front of the board.

Thanks, I will try that. I think the problem is that I am naturally riding with my weight more on my heels...are you putting more weight on the balls of your feet, or how do you think your weight is best placed on the board?

  • @keithers I'm goofy and I ride with my weight more on my heels, mainly because I feel I can turn, steer, etc. much more aggressively backside. I try to ride the heels as much as I can, but just to the point where I can still make frontside moves by shifting weight to the balls of the feet- that's the sweet spot for me. I may have shared this with you already but here are 2 dismounts I use all the time: www.youtube.com/watch?v=Nc9EGL1mWeM
