Suggestions from a newbie after my first 45 miles.

    • get proper skateboard shoes and put them on your feet right. Period.

    • starting on grass is an OK idea but this actually makes it much harder to learn if your grassy field is uneven

    • get into delerium mode and at least try it ASAP and don't be afraid - I find the responsiveness makes me a better rider than mission even on smooth pavement

    • the brand new fully inflated tire is really squirrelly. Letting out a couple psi and breaking it in will make the ride more forgiving

    • trust the board and use your weight to steer, letting your feet follow

    • IMO sequoia is only useful for getting a feel of what pushback is like or protecting a very young adult from their own ambitions.

    • pads and wrist guards are non optional
