Weight Limits

So I have have a read the 275LBS weight limit on the one wheel. I am curious if anyone has been using the wheel that weighs more. I understand that anything over is outside of the proper declared operating limits.
The reason I ask is that i am 350, loosing weight slowly, but would love to be rid of my car (everything I need is within 3miles of my house)

@youcrew Being heavier puts a lot of stress on the motor and makes it much more likely to nosedive. If you can get your weight down to around 67 pounds, you'd be golden ;)

@youcrew I weigh 225 and rode 5 miles holding a girl on my back who weighed probably 125. The board performed fine under this weight load despite being a little uncomfortable for me to carry her. I think it would be fine, but you would just have to ride accordingly. So know that you would have decreased range and that you would be putting extra strain on the motor. Too much strain on the motor is what causes nose dives. I would just keep your front foot as close to the wheel as possible and don't try to push through the pushback, and you should be fine.

You beat me to it.
I'm 225 lbs and often carry my 35 lbs dog down the bike lane before letting her run along.I think up to 300 lbs may be safe.
I'd be more concerned about how much the rails can take.
Gotta be a way to reinforce them for heavier riders, for safety reasons.
Shouldn't be that hard.

Thank you for your replies, everyone.

@sonny123 I don't think you have to worry about the rails, I think it's all about the motor's ability to keep you level. When a 250lb person accidentally leans a bit too far forward, that's a hundred pounds of weight pushing towards the ground that the motor has to attempt to accommodate over when a 150lb person does the same thing.
But if people 275lb+ are riding without problem, then it sounds like there's not much issue there as long as people of all weights take it slow in the beginning.

@thegreck yeah definitely would not recommend but she was pretty cute.
