nose dive at 15mph, stayed on my feet!
-
Lucky I skidded on the nose for a moment and it slowed me before I had to hop off. I have no idea what my feet did to avoid falling I just stood there shocked and grateful to be upright.
Cause: I was too far back on my left heel during an outside turn, foot lifted up and eventually deactivated both sensors.
Pads, wrist guards and helmets. Always! I was fully protected tonight because nosedives are inevitable.

@readysetawesome Board shouldn't be shutting off while moving even if you are off both sensors. It is supposed to only shutoff when off sensors going under 1 mph.
-
@goodblake-eskate wrong... It is supposed to shut off if you are off the 2 sensors, no matter the speed. But if you still have 1 sensor activated, it will not shutoff until you go slower than 0.5mph
-
@tartopom I assume you are right but not sure how you could ever be off both sensors while riding unless you have a faulty sensor or maybe if you are one of those who likes to ride with the sensors in the back.
-
@goodblake-eskate this is because you have a PLUS with very large sensor, but this "policy" has been done when the V1 has been released. It was then easier to be off the 2 sensors. They just kept it like this with the PLUS.

Exactly! Key words there are "while you are riding." The whole reason the board is programmed to shut off when you come off both sensors is so that when you FALL OFF it doesn't keep on going until it hits something.
But another way you can come off the sensors, or at least de-weight them so that there's no pressure on them, is during jumps (curb hops, etc). So to keep people from crashing in these circumstances, the board doesn't shut off until pressure is off both sensors for the count of one-Mississippi.
