Verbal battery notifications

I ride with headphones and it's silly to have to take out your phone while riding to see the level of your battery. I know the bleeps notify you, but why not a voice at 50, 20, 10 and 5%? The less I take out my phone while riding, the better.

@wrede66 I’m working on this concept and have a very rough prototype on the iOS App Store now: https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/float-deck/id1332503706?mt=8
Would really dig any feedback!

@dbro what about android bro?
-
@dbro Glad you did this! Probably what I'm looking for, but I only have a 5c so my OS can't run it. Bummer.
-
@pb_mvg Definitely interested in making an Android version too, just happen to have an iPhone at the moment so I started there.
@wrede66 Just submitted an update to the app store to lower the iOS version requirement to 10. Hopefully it'll get approved sometime Monday 1/22.

Do you have your phone silenced while riding? You can get those audio warnings from the OW app while riding.
-
@skyman88 No, my phone is not silenced, but I'm looking for more than just that squiggly noise the FM app makes. I have a great bike app that talks to me at intervals for mileage. Something like that.
-
@dbro hey - great- look forward to it!
-
@dbro Hey- just check app store and I was able to get it- thx. Raining here in ATL now, but I'll try it out tomorrow.
-
@dbro thanks brotha...keep up the hard work

Anyone know what happened to this app? It won't run on my phone any longer and it was removed from the iTunes store. I loved that program. The verbal cues were very useful.
-
If you use Android in the settings in ow app you can change to any sound file you want.
So make your own mp3 and change for that.
-
@dbro I got the app originally but it is not longer available for my OW friends... Love the APP.

So make your own mp3 and change for that. That explains it! New at this and the other day my phone started making noise like a star wars battle scene. So I stopped and the only thing I could see on my phone that caused it was a 50% battery warning. It definitely got my attention.
