Car Inverter with AC Outlets for my OW+ power supply
-
I recommend nothing less than 500W true sin wave.
-
I tried one of the cheaper 400w ones, it did not work.

@frenchkick
Keep in mind your car 12V aux outlets typically have a 15A fuse, meaning they are rated for 10A at 12V or 120 watts. Therefore, to use a 300W inverter, you would need to clip directly to the battery or else you will blow a fuse. So, no driving and charging.

I totally agree with N Jacobs comment!
I have a 600 watt true pure since wave convert and it work's great.
-
Agree @NJacobs after reading more, i needed true sin wave, so i went with this one:

@desperado, I have spare marine battery that i clip directly, instead my own car battery :-)

I would question in the Marine Battery would be able to provide one full charge for the OW. Have you tried it yet?
You should just wire your inverter directly into your car. Then you can charge while driving or while parked at idle. That's what I did, works great.

@gibby, no yet, but I am able to recharge 5 times my rc heli lipo batteries 2 pack of 22v 6s 6000mah (30min each time for a complete charge). I only get 6-10 min fly, depending on motor speed.

@frenchkick

Good to know, thanks @steeve

I bought one of the $600 generators and although it still runs it is slowly falling apart. Pretty much all the switches have fallen off and the start cord snapped after only a couple of starts, they are also very heavy compared to the Honda. Check this
