New owner OW+, why only get 2.3 miles
-
i own OW+ last December. Due to cold weather of Maine, i have been riding on my basement, but last weekend we had 50 degrees weather :-). So i went to the beach at low tide. Started my ride 100% battery, and only get 2.3 miles at 13 mph ride cruising after draining 75% battery only 12 minutes (see pic).
Is it due to the sand?
Setting:
- Ride under Mission
- 18 psi tire pressure
- i am 200lbs
- just straight line cruise, nothing crazy
- sand was still hard and very smooth for the board to ride on
- 50 degrees weather
i contacted tech support and i am waiting for response.

My understanding is that sand is a killer on the mileage per charge.

Yeah, the sand takes more power. At 200lbs I recommend 20psi or more. I'm 210lbs and normally run 23psi. Today I tried 27psi and got 7.6 miles (smooth asphalt).

Gotta be the sand!

Got tip about re-calibrate battery cells for anybody interested:
