Surestance Pro & Flight Fender
-
Just a heads up, the Flight Fender & Surestance Pro back foot pad are not compatible.
Curious if anyone has started brainstorming how to modify the pad/fender to accommodate the rear Flight Fender? Maybe machine down an outline of the fender, on the concaved edges of the pad, to bring the fender down flush to the rail? But I'm curious if that would affect how the back foot fits into the fender and under the fin.Any thoughts?

I put the Flight fenders on, then the Surestance was delivered. Put the craft and ride fender with the new Surestance Pro on my XR. Need a Dremel, did think of modifying the board and not the rear flight fender. Keep the grip side up...

No shaving down the pad or fender. Just got some longer screws #10-32 and 2 spacers to put where there’s the extra space between the rails and the fender. Works like a champ and is held on great.
Maybe someone can 3D print a better looking/fitting spacer to match the fender but the one I got works you can hardly see it anyways.

@skywalk3r Bravo! Love it!!

@skywalk3r looks great! Nice quick solution. Ideally, I'd like the pad dremeled or sanded down to give it proper flush fit. I dont mind modifying my pad a wee bit.
Thanks for sharing!

Here is an example of someone who used spacer/washers on a Surestance Pro.

And here is the OneTail carved with a pocket knife to fit.

Took me a while to actually get to this but here is the result. I just outlined the fender on the pad, heated the grip and peeled back, chiseled and sanded down, and regripped. I must say I enjoy riding my board with full flight more than I did before the mod.
