GoPro mount
-
I'm trying to get a video to post on youtube, I plan on getting the GoPro hero session. Should I mount it with the normal sticky mount? Or do you guys have any other ideas? I just need something that works, it doesn't need to look nice.

@Killer556293 I would lean towards a progostick, or something similar. The POV would be cool on the board, but I would venture it would be shaky even with a hero7. Not to mention one roll and your mount is done, and gopro is in the weeds somewhere. I use two lengths of progosticks for different POV's

This is my diy GoPro mount.

I used to mount my GoPro to the frame but the video gets monotonous quickly. I prefer a selfie stick with my GoPro.

I don't even watch videos shot from the board. They are boring. I want to see the board itself as it is being ridden. That's the only way to pick up tips for riding. I think a lot of OWers feel the same. If you are shooting travel video, then go for it.

Same here. Get a stick and a gimbal. Check out slydogstroh’s vids on YouTube. I can’t watch that shit enough.

@slydogstroh and @fabuz and other all use gimbals also. The newest GoPro has amazing stabilization software which may eliminate the need for one... other wise my recommendation is a gimbal and an extension pole.
I use a DJI Osomo Mobile w/ an iPhone 8 , Moment Gear 18mm and a DJI extension stick.
Cheaper options exist for sure but a gimbal helps a ton.
