Gemini firmware seems to fix my broken battery gauge (nope FALSE ALARM)
-
I’ve talked about this here a lot, it could not be fixed by charging overnight or even for multiple days. It’s been this way for a full year, many hundreds of miles.
However with the new firmware I see the % counting down from full, as expected, rather than staying at 100% for miles. Much celebrate.

Sounds like it could have been cured by reinstalling the app, which the upgrade essentially does with the new software.
-
@wheelrich I had been through several iPhone app reinstalls before this and also tried the android app. Nothing helped until I installed the new firmware yesterday
-
@readysetawesome I know it was not a phone app bug because the power button’s pulse reflected the same (incorrect) battery status even if the app was never connected.
-
@readysetawesome Interesting. I am hoping it helps my constant app disconnect problems. I will find out later today or tomorrow.
-
Nope. It definitely did not help the constant disconnecting app on my iPhone or Apple Watch. I did not mess with using the custom settings, but unlike some have said, I did not notice any change to the way Mission rides. It seems same as always. Gonna wait for more suggested settings to try later. I will let others be the guinea pigs (lab rats?).

False alarm on the battery gauge too, it was just having one of its intermittent OK moments before turning back into crap. Too bad we can’t get software fixes for these annoying issues

Did another 12 miles today. App connection still intermittent and still works fine on the older XR. It connects enough that I can track my charge now and then, but still annoying. Board runs fine otherwise.
