What’s pushing the Pint orders back?

  • @Rocketeer Thanks for the link.

I did see the video but ignored it yesterday.. You're right.. he dont sound too confident and it seems theres more chance for a date slip than to have a truck load of one wheel boxes packed and ready within 2 weeks

  • @Rocketeer oh man..

good luck with your surgery.. if thats the joint in your arm, a friend of mine had that done but his situation was complex.. he has a whole new ball joint put in his arm/ shoulder but has had a few surgeries over years to get it right and i think he's in a better way now.

  • @Rocketeer thanks for that video. i don't think he's not sounding confident about the latest ship dates, i think he's just being cautious and not promising, which is smart. he's right -- any damn thing could happen to jack up the timeline -- all it takes is one thing to start a cascade and then things could slip again, and nothing it totally assured when you're juggling this many balls at once. i'm going to hold out hope the current dates hold. that being said, if there's a significant shift again, i'm at the point where i'm considering cancelling rather than toughing it out again.

  • Holding @ 7/2/19 ship date. Slid back to 7/3/19 for a moment yesterday, then bumped back to 7/2/19.

  • @Vindigo75 we need photos of the packaging, materials, etc.

    So far nothing. It’s strange.

I know they’re reading the forums. How about sharing a photos of one wheel pints ready for QC tests?

Anyone living in San Jose swing by their facility ?

  • @geguia Wait... You want a "proof of life" photo for your pint?

This forum is my favorite. So much frothing I can taste the anticipation!

  • @geguia I don't quite follow. I am simply confirming my ship date as verified by the Dude Where is My Onewheel feature on the website. I try to keep chiming in b/c despite shipping date slips, FM has continued to confirm I am on the first shipment out, so once I get a "shipped" confirmation I will post same here, with the hopes it serves as some time of barometer for subsequent orders.

I wouldn't put much faith in the "ship date". There are components that may have not arrived at their facility for fabrication. The video above speaks to procurement issues. Not once did he say they are in fabrication. He just spoke of difficulties.

Just don't be surprised if we see another push back.

    @DreamTour i don't buy they're in fabrication now. Hope I'm wrong!

Just think a few months we'll all forget about these delays and talk about how swirly and unstable but fun the Pint is!

  • Ahhh, I think you misunderstand my intent. Given the delays I experienced when I ordered my XRs, I put no faith in the date, rather in the communicated sequencing of shipping once commenced. I am simply updating so people who ordered after me have a barometer as to when the vanguard shipment is, as of time of a given post by me, is scheduled to set sail. I would also hope/assume ship date adjustments are applied on a FIFO basis so if my date is holding, i would like to believe it a good sign...but im still largely subscribing only to sequence as set forth above. Ill def cross my fingers the current date holds, but Ill not be holding my breath lol.

  • If anyone is interested I’m selling iPhone 20’s

You can mail me a cheque for $1200 and I will ship when ready. Anticipating a ship date around Dec 10th 2030

  • @keithatwood if you can guarantee it will come before Christmas Day 2030 I'll take one.

My daughter will need one for her 2nd job as she will be 23 then.

  • Ship date has slipped to 7/5

  • @Vindigo75 they must be close

But.... how sinister would it be if they knew it would be another 4 weeks away but they push back the date manually by a few days a time.

  • @Vindigo75 I got the impression on last weeks video that they hadn’t even started building these yet, I really do hope that they get sorted out soon.

  • I've just emailed asking if 7/5 is now the initial ship date for Pint units. Will circle back upon getting a reply.

Ship date has slipped to 7/5

interesting -- mine is still holding at July 8th (just checked) this morning. crossing fingers for everyone that the dates don't slip any more.

  • @geguia Yea... Announcing a 3 month delay a month after accepting orders is highly a questionable practice. Everyone who jumped on and started counting the days were left completely burned by the anticipation letdown. Hopefully FM adds a little more float in their production schedule for the next launch, or just delay the announcement until AFTER the supply chain is set. Like he said, it just takes one bad screw from a supplier...

  • My date was 2nd then 5th August and would bounce between the two dayss every few days..

I just checked now and it's gone to 15th August

  • @Daymos it changed back to 5th August.

  • @Daymos they don’t know what they’re doing lol
