One wheel pint front sensor pad
-
I’m wondering if anybody’s having the same problem as I am with their pint sensor pad
Here’s a video https://youtu.be/WXYhMYhHnkk

@ShreddieMcskate I feel like somebody here or on the Facebook group had that issue too and had to request a new front foot pad.
-
I just called future motion and they’re really nice people over there it seems like they’re going to take care of me right away!!!!
-
@ShreddieMcskate what happens when you ride? Do you get the “you have been off one footpad for more than 10 secs while riding” warning message? I’ve been getting it a lot but was pretty much just ignoring it...
-
@a_onekatie I get the warning sometimes...it’s when I slow down to almost a stop it sometimes cuts the power and it’ll cut back on then off
-
Dude I tried my brand new slip ons and they work way better...my old slip ons work on my XR still....I think thats what my problem was ..the bottoms of my old shoes are worn out from skateboarding also so they’re super soft...And everyone that I let try it were skaters with bad shoes....maybe the smaller sensor likes new kicks...I‘ll keep testing over the weekend.....has anyone tried a worn out shoe on the pint?

Watching this one.... Very good info on the Pint sensor dynamics. Thanks @ShreddieMcskate

Awesome to hear you were able to resolve the issue, that does make sense if the shoes were worn down as a soft spongy sole does not make as good of a connection with the board. Keep testing and let me know how it goes over the weekend.
So if you get a pint make sure your shoes are newer or have harder soles

I'm getting this all the time, every ride. Is it an issue I need to address with FM? Has yours caused you any problems?
-
@tzracer22 have you tried out different shoes to see if that helped? Maybe ones work harder soles.....
I have been noticing since my shoes are getting worn I’m having a hard time with the sensor pad again I wear vans slip on pros...Also make sure your feet are across all three dots on the front pad.

2 times today I was riding at 10 to 12 mph and I felt the motor click on and off really fast but no nosedive...has this ever happened to anyone yet?
I’m kinda scared I’m gonna get thrown off...

I think this is my problem

They ain't new though. I tried with my rock hard steel toe cap work boots though and still had the same issue. I have just bought a new pair of high tops but I can't see them making a difference. Thinking of turning the warning off but don't wanna if I've actually got a board issue 🤷♂️

@tzracer22 / @ShreddieMcskate FWIW, I used to ride with my regular Nike Air Max shoes and I would get that warning once or twice on my daily 12 mile rides on my XR. Like you, I would just ignore it because it wasn't happening too often and I know my foot never left the pad for any significant amount of time. I have since switched to some Van's mid top shoes and I haven't seen the message since . . . it's been over a month.
If you are getting the message regularly, like more than once or twice a ride, I would contact FM to see if they will replace your front pad under warranty. I do know on the V1/+/XR, FM has replaced pads for folks with issues.

@tzracer22 let us know how the hi tops work for you
-
@ShreddieMcskate / @OneDan
I'm actually thinking it might be the fact I'm running hi tops as with a bent leg stance it'll naturally pull the rear of my foot up. I've got some animal low top skate shoes I might give a try and see if that cures it. Thanks guys.
-
@tzracer22 do you have high arches in your feet? Because I do maybe that could be some of the problem
-
@ShreddieMcskate no std feet 🤗

Might give these a try https://www.vans.com/shop/made-for-the-makers-slip-on
