FM - the bumpers ALWAYS fail in the same spot.

Perhaps an isolated screw through hardware.
Maybe a semi flexible rubber ring.
Maybe a new screw going sideways through the rail.
Maybe the bumper insert is more threaded into the rail, and less screws.
Anything but the existing design.
Like, the threads always fail
Way before the plastic wears out.

True true, Every how to video out there talks about stripping rail threads.
On my homemade fender I ended up using backing nuts inside the rail.
