I like how easy it is to fall off, glad they aren't restricting at all =]

RE: Installed the Hoosier tire. A little disappointing.
So the 6.5 is a good middle ground for carving and flat balance? I'm interested in the Hoosier once my Vega wears out, but the touchiness of the 5.5 sounds a little unforgiving for my daily commute. The 6.5 requires no modification to the board then, as long as you keep the pressure around 15?

RE: Question for urban riders
Just want to echo what everyone has said, take it slow and do a slight jump to lift your weight off the board.
Also, another Portland wheeler reporting in! Still haven't seen any other wheels out in the wild though.

RE: Disc Golf OneWheel'n (OW'n) - Share Your Knowledge and Experiences!
Disc golf and wheelin' are made for each other! If I'm with a group of friends I feel more isolated though, always zipping around without them. It's fun on the more rugged courses, but you gotta be careful with your battery on those 18 holes! I use it mostly for when I'm practicing my drives in a field, it cuts the downtime so much.

RE: control box rattle!
Pretty sure it's okay. Mine does this too, as well as plenty of others if not all boards out there. It only rattles when going over bumps and rough terrain though. Let us know what you hear from FM, curious what the official word on it is!

RE: Riding in rain...
Here's the deal, it's a low risk if you are smart about it. I ride in rain when I have to, but I don't think I would ride in heavy rain. Don't ride through puddles (as tempting as it is!). Make sure you charging port is plugged. When you get home use a can of compressed air to clean the board. To be even more safe, don't plug it in until the next day. That way just in case water did get somewhere it shouldn't, you give it time to dry.
Btw I also live in Portland. Check out Mt. Tabor, awesome trails!

RE: Best grip tape for regriping board?
Just the warranty on the pads. I asked FM and the board is still under warranty if you regrip.

RE: Types of Wipeout on Onewheel
Also:
- "The Splits"... when you try to revert and you fall, but your front foot is still on the pad and the board is trying to take off

RE: up curb
That makes a lot of sense Jeff. Can you describe the motion you're doing to pop over like that?
I think think only way to pop a sidewalk curb would be to hook your foot under the back and lift it over, but that's probably unreasonable haha.

This is what you are looking for:
