    • RE: What's your cruising speed? 14mph? 20mph?

I cruise around 15, mostly because I don't think the board is safe much above that (for sustained periods). I really wish the motor could handle a safe 20 cruise speed. Maybe next year now that the new battery tech can support higher wattage.

@future-motion That's great. I'm assuming this doesn't provide a higher top speed though? Wouldn't seem that it should, but asking for a friend :)

    • Petition to open up shaping modes to the community

I think it's essential that more shaping options open up to get the most out of the plus. There are so many possibilities to make it even better.

      For example:

-V1 mode, where the only difference is the top end power.
-Loose low, tight high. loose turning in low speeds that ramps up in high speeds.
-Cruz mode with 19mph top speed
-Sequoia mode with 19mph top speed
      -Offroad custom combo

      etc etc.

We need access to these and the ability to save and share them, disclaimers included, so we can really move forward with feel of the board. Otherwise, it's going to take years, if ever, to get all the modes we want.

@njcustom I have found through experience that this near my ideal anyway.

    • RE: Another + review

@snwbrdwndsrf yeah, but you know what I think is the issue? It's all the shaping. When I switch to sequoia the looser controls offer way more flexibility and heel toe control on the board, but when I switch to mission it tightens up so you lose that. The former is great at low speeds and the latter is great at high speeds. I want to see a mode where it handles like sequoia at low speeds and ramps firmness to mission at higher speeds. That's the dream ride in all conditions for me.

    • RE: The EXTREME magnetic fender is here!!

the new extreme is amazing. I was a thumb screw guy until this latest magnet version. Now I can safely recommend the magnetic version and may even buy another (3rd) carbon fender :)

      @trappar no, I guess I just haven't seen 30mph - it's such a corner case.

    • RE: Top speed comparison v1 vs Plus

Answering my own question now that I got it: the 'easy' ceiling is 22 vs say 19 on the old board. The absolute max is probably 22-23 vs 25-26, but I haven't tested the latter. This is with 21 psi.

Really want to know how the Delerium shaping will affect this.

No brainer purchase if you're a onewheel fan and can afford it. Buy it.

      Why:

      1. Quiet. A whisper in comparison to the V1
      2. Faster. Yeah, much smoother acceleration curve and going up to 21 is effortless.
      3. Torque. yes, it is better on hills and dips less/lags less when it needs power
      4. Smooth. All of the above make it a smoother ride.
      5. Footpads are truly improved. In every way, but mostly that I can have a comfortable stance without accidentally killing the motor and thus myself.

      Why not:

      1. More money
      2. Less range. at least 10% less for same PSI, but it depends how your ride, I'm sure (faster average speed = less distance).
      3. Sketchier on the edges. not sure why but riding it on the edges is more wobbly, I feel my feet have less leverage and control in tight turns. It might have to do with the new shaping. Want to revisit this with Delerium.

      BUY BUY BUY

for people that have pushed approximately as hard past pushback on both, what is the difference in top speed you're seeing? Mine gets here today but I can't wait, must know now :)

    • RE: Sensor pad Front or Back ?

I have been riding sensor mostly front (though I ride switch), and I'm starting to think back is better. Why? because I find the front foot moves more on jumps/bumps and thus makes inadvertent motor kills more likely.

    • RE: Official delay - end of month, early April new expected pioneer delivery

@Franky I'm just guessing, but what doesn't add up to me is:

      1. the motors would come assembled (I would expect)

      2. the delivery has paused for a couple of weeks now, but they continued pushing the 'now being delivered' sales and marketing line. Sounds like last push to get a volume threshold discount, but even if not, disingenuous knowing the part would delay things.

Regardless, I'm not that salty because I want them to do well and keep making awesome products.

    • RE: Official delay - end of month, early April new expected pioneer delivery

My theory is that they had an initial sample batch of parts from the supplier, and the lead time for the larger next order was either delayed for business reasons (greater volume=lower price) or delayed by the supplier (because, supplier). I somehow doubt it was a QC issue with the part. I say this based on experience with manufacturing. More palatable to present it the way they did though.

    • Official delay - end of month, early April new expected pioneer delivery

Just saying my parts guess was right 😅

      HANG TIGHT!

      Hey Onewheel+ Founders,

Thank you so much for your patience, we know you expected to be riding by now and we wanted to give you a quick update on where we're at. We can assure you your new Onewheel+ is in the works and in good hands.

While we were able to get the first batch of boards shipped in late February without a hitch, we encountered an issue with a part needed for the motor on the next batch. Quality is what Onewheel+ is all about and we can't cut any corners, so we sent the piece back to our supplier and are now awaiting a new shipment to arrive to continue our build.

To the best of our knowledge, it looks like Founding Members' boards will be shipping in late March up to early April. We know how excited you are for One+ and that the wait is brutal, but please know our team is working around the clock to ensure your board is made with the care and love it deserves.

The ride is worth the wait, we promise.

      Onelove,
      Onewheel Team

@onewheeltrumpusa I suspect it's parts not being delivered issues (from one or more of their suppliers).
