    • Customize your OneWheel

Ok this may be old news, but I had no idea you could visit a page on the OneWheel site to select different colour bumpers, fenders etc. to get a good idea of what the board will look like visually. https://onewheel.com/pages/customize-onewheel

How SICK would it be to have the same visual tool, only for ALL the known brands and their items (sidekicks, flightfins, foot pads, etc.). Someone get onto this! We need this!

      Leaning back and forth
No remote to kill the float
      This is just blissful

    • RE: Speedboard

Yeah certainly bigger and faster. There would be some market overlap between the 2 boards. I prefer the OW though, based on what I currently use it for, and for what I could use it for. The Speedboard would be way too big for me, and just like you said - lacks the tighter maneuverability. It also looks like a mission to carry if your commute often required you to pick it up.
Defs some competition in the realm of off-road adventures though.

@MDMason mate get those bloody hipsters in Cali onto this! You’re missing out on float-time.

@SlyFoxxx maaaate, ya flamin’ drongo ;D Just bloody vote for a speedometer mate, it’s a fair dinkum way to have a quick glance at the speed you’re doing without those Apple Watch, Fitbit, fuddy duddy accessories.

Or even an LED bar (like the pint battery bar) that changes colour to indicate a speed range (0-3 green, 4-7 orange, 8-100 red haha)

Do you suspect it’s a battery issue though? I wonder if disconnecting the battery for a few hours to completely drain the board/motor/electronics and then reconnecting will “reset” it.

    • RE: Charging Habits

I read a post a while back that was quite helpful. In brief:

      • Periodically charge your board overnight to allow the battery to balance thoroughly (FM suggest this too)
      • Don't keep board fully charged or discharged for long periods
      • Going by battery voltage in the app is probably more accurate than the charge indicator (so I've heard)
      • If storing your board over a long time, do so at around 50%

The above supposedly helps keep your battery healthy.

I know there are some apps available out there to track your speed etc., but I reckon a tasteful on-board speedo would be a really useful addition. Perhaps built into the fender? Maybe on the board? A quick glance down to get a reading of your speed would be nice.
