    • RE: Reason why I sold my XR

      @Enterusername
      Dude you are badass. Make sure you let us know when you’re riding again. I hope I can shred as long as you.

    • Stuck it.

      In a world of everyone crying about their pint orders, I would like to bring a new topic to light. Here’s my question.. if you land a trick but your nose or tail scrapes.... did you stick it? Does it count? Or maybe like it still counts but not “clean” I feel like you get more props if you only touch wheel right? I mean unless the drag is intentional... thoughts?

    • RE: Captain Morgan slide

      Sounds like my board is having similar battery issues to yours. One day it died at 34% then the next day at 24. Then I did the old full drain in sequoia mode and charged for 2 days. It fixed it... for a while. Then every few charges I’d have to do the full drain and long charge again. Now that doesn’t even fix it. Died on me the other day at 48%. I sent diagnostics as soon as it happened- that’s what fm told me to do... and they said send it in. My board has 1300 miles on it... and I ride hard... and I’m about 240 pounds. So I guess needing a little service at this point is acceptable. She’s boxed up and ready to send. I’ll let you guys know what they say and how much they charge me.

    • RE: Do not ride at high speed!

      If you have a nose dive, you didn’t do it right. If your skateboard shoots out from under you, you didn’t do it right. If you catch your heel side edge on a snowboard and get shit-whipped to your dome, you didn’t do it right. It’s that simple. The only way to fix the “nosedive problem” would be to have an infinitely powerful motor. But that would result in infinite speed. You people bitchin about safety are gonna ruin it for everyone else. If you can’t take a slam, play video games.

    • RE: Park Rangers and One Wheel being a motor vehicle

      I just ride and be nice. I’ve had one ranger stop me and say I’m technically not allowed.. but then he informed me that he was leaving, and told me to be careful. If I see lots of people I head the other way. Most people I do encounter are friendly and interested in the crazy thing I’m riding. As long as we are nice, and give the people who aren’t breaking the rules the right of way, they won’t complain much. And if people aren’t complaining, the rangers will be more likely to worry about something else. I had a cop stop me in a parking lot. It was obvious that I was about to head out into a 45 mph road. He just wanted to know what it was. Offered to let him ride it, he said no. So I called him a pussy and he jumped on! No joke! Just be nice guys... smile, stay out of peoples way. Try not to scare their dogs. We will win.

    • RE: New OneWheel APP Update: 2.1.33

      I still think there’s something screwy with the update in relation to the battery. I have no knowlede of any of this technical electronics stuff. But here’s my thinkin... they added a feature that notifies you when you’re charged to 90%... that hill feature or whatever... so they definitely were messing with the communication between the app and the battery or the bms or whatever it is... and I think they have caused something to go haywire. Tonight I went riding, battery was at 80% and I get the 10% warning. I pull up the app screen and it shows 80%. Turned it off, back on. Rode er on down to 40 before I called it a day. No more problems. And I think this malfunction can sometimes make your board think itself is dead, and even shut down like it’s dead, when it’s not. Boom. Any takers? I don’t know maybe I’m just a dumb hillbilly. But I know my trouble started the day I did that update.

      The long charge fixed it! I couldn’t wait two days so I rode after about 24 hrs of charging and she went all the way down to 3% before kickin me off. Yeehaw!

    • RE: New OneWheel APP Update: 2.1.33

      Ok so I think I have read on here before that you shouldn’t keep trying to turn it back on and get more... but you’re saying that’s ok? I see you on the leaderboard riding hard so I reckon I trust you. I have another onewheel so I do have the option to leave her on charge for 2 days. I’m like you... not riding is not an option. This is the first time my backup board has come into play. Even with a backup board I still dread the thought of sending one in. Who knows what they’re gonna charge me when I have to do it. Hopefully this works. Thank you so much for your knowledge. You have given me some hope. Shred on!

    • RE: New OneWheel APP Update: 2.1.33

      I did the update yesterday. Then I went riding. Now I’m not saying this is because of the update... but maybe... it was a nice warm day. I was riding with two other onewheels. I always monitor our batteries when I ride with my buddies because mine has almost 1000 miles and theirs are pretty new. It’s interesting to see who dies first. When my board got down to 34% it started sending me the “ need some juice” message. I’ve never seen this before. I thought maybe it was just the app messing up but twenty yards later she was doing the old hard pushback like they do when they’re dead. After my long walk of shame back to the truck, I went home, charged up again and rode some more. This time it happened at 24%. Walk of shame round 2. So now I’m doing the 2 day charge and hoping that will fix it. Anybody got any advice for me? I’ve read everything I can find and nobody seems to report a situation that matches mine.

    • RE: Flight fins modification

      I started out using heavy rubber from the bottom heavy piece of an orange construction barrel. It didn’t have this problem but it was very heavy and didn’t have the clean look. Which is why I switched to the yoga blocks. Gotta find something just a little more firm than these yoga blocks, but still lightweight... and I think I’m in business. Maybe even just a different brand of blocks.
