RE: How does 4-6 turn to 10-11 weeks?
I feel for y'all waiting for your Onewheels. I was a kickstarter backer from the beginning and my wait time was 9 months, which was extended to about 1 year. I waited and waited as patiently as I could and then my board finally arrived. I haven't stopped smiling since. Ive rode my board at least 3x a day everyday since, and that's been over a year now. Its definitely the best thing I've ever bought.
I can guess at the delays as parts shortages from the early production boards have the first design flaws and those boards have been sent in for repair. The good thing is that the newer boards should have less issues going forward. I'm sure the controller board has been revised maybe a couple of times which had to go through re-manufacturing and that doesn't happen overnight. It would probably take a few weeks to produce a batch and then a few weeks to test functionality. I do hope you guys realize that their company consists of only a few guys. Just know that when you receive your board that it will be better than mine :) and hopefully you can smile as much as I have.
RE: OneWheel races? I'll take @njcustom and @Carlo on my team!
That was a cool video. I suggested this track day to Jack when I first received my board. The smooth surface and since we ride on a go cart type tire seems like a perfect fit.
Again I want to thank you @MichaelW for a great skating day at Venice.
Venice Beach w/Michael and Tim
I know I havent been posting much, but I visited LA and got a chance to skate with @MichaelW and Tim. It was a great day to skate with clear blue skies. We caught low tide and hit up the beach and had a blast.
If you are ever in the area, hit these guys up! Very cool folks to skate around with!
RE: Share your best videos from all around the world
@lynnpreston that was pretty sick!!!
RE: What it feels like to ride a OneWheel | Kaivopuisto Finland.
Finland looks really nice :)
RE: All of a sudden dismount not going so well
I saw that video and I wouldn't stop that way. I come close to a complete stop, then get on my toes of the sensor foot, rotate my heel to touch the wheel, then pressure on my heel and rotate toes toward the wheel. Again I wouldn't dismount anything while rolling unless I'm falling.
