Really depends on what you're looking for.
      Check out
www.thefloat.life for float plates and other stuff to protect your board from damage.
www.owarmor.com has tons of goodies to make your board look awesome.
www.prorideusa.com for traction pads instead of grip tape, really good for snow or mud.
www.carvepower.com if you need extra range.
www.badgerwheel.com if you are going to be riding in rain or snow conditions (my site).

    • RE: Womp womp. XR battery suddenly only giving 8 miles

@readysetawesome Get the POWheel app if you have an android, of Float Deck if you have Apple. It will let you see the individual cell voltages in your battery. It's possible one of your 15 cells is going bad. If that's the case, you should send it in ASAP before the one cell gets drained all the way to dead. You might only be looking at a BMS replacement, which is like $250 or something.

Here are just some of the places your "sealed" components can leak. You might get lucky, but why risk it?

    • RE: Waterproofing OneWheel

I used a custom leak checker tool to find everywhere that a onewheel can leak (pretty much everywhere). Then, I sealed all those spots and used the same tool to verify I was 100% sealed. You can check out how it works at my website and buy a kit. www.badgerwheel.com

    • RE: **Sleeker chassis design. Rounded Nose/Tail. Graphics. brighter light/speaker?**

The onewheel is a great ride precisely because it was designed by engineers with no interference from industrial designers. That means that, like a Humvee or tank, there's no unneeded weight and zero compromises on functionality in order to achieve a certain appearance. Personally, I love the look of it. There are "sleek" alternatives out there and they are all inferior (e.g. Trotter). I'm glad they spent 100% of their effort on making it the best performing, even if it isn't going to win any beauty contests.

      @hoovdini
The epoxy is a bit of a pain. If there's a better way to do it, my XR still has virgin threads.

    • RE: Injury Reduction or How to Crash at 17 mph

@jshnewman Haha, you lucked out bigtime if all you got was road rash. Congrats on learning a lesson the easy way! Wrist guards and helmet are bare minimum, every ride, unless you are one of those poor souls who can't have fun without facing down a real risk of stoke-crushing injury.

Oh ya the clips. I think those are a good solution, assuming they work. $30 isn't a bad price considering you can easily burn through $30 in zip ties, not to mention the hassle. I just wanted to keep my rails as clean and pure as possible though, with a permanent solution to crappy threads.

This is a very cheap one-time investment of about 20 minutes, but then you can easily remove or swap your fender when you want to, don't have to drill holes in your fender, and don't have visible straps cramping your style. I can see how people who are not mechanically inclined or don't have the tools might prefer something easier though.

What steel straps are you talking about? Steel zip-ties?
