This thread has some good stuff re: clip-on wheels, and at the very end of the thread @norm has a video with a pull-method just using velcro & wheels.

RE: Do vehicles honk/yell at you for no apparent reason?
Damn never considered they were honking because of my Onewheel. Just thought I was dead sexy.

RE: Boston-area advice
I also live in an area where the sidewalks are total war zones. A couple of my early spills were from not having the confidence to attack big ridges/edges in pavement but now I'm getting over most big bumps no problem....I'm sure you'll find the same after a bit more riding.

RE: Future Motion, Past Customer
This post is suspect as hell. But hey, catchy title, good work on that.
Sketchy story? Check.
Sketchy reference to sketchy competitor? Check.
Sketchy description of credit cards? Check. (I don't think I've ever felt the need to point out that a payment has "matching billing information.")FM successfully charged my credit card, then I successfully waited in the long queue, which FM was up front about. And they were able to beat their delivery projection by a week.

RE: Build you own clip-on wheels for $5
Thanks for all the tips here -- I really wanted something like this. I am close to finishing mine -- tried this hilariously large binder clip found on Amazon because I wanted to see if I could get away with only one clip, plus try out a swivel wheel. It works fairly well! Although ideally I'd love for FM or someone else to mass produce a perfect version that I could just buy.
I glued a felt strip to one inner side of the clip because the metal on the grip tape was fingernails-on-a-chalkboard horrible. Also found that if I clip it on the corner of the board instead of the middle, I can drag it behind me like I would a roller suitcase.
(Also as mentioned above, drilling through the clip suuuuuucks. Gave the task to a handy DIY-type buddy and the struggle was real.)

RE: Back yard skill course
Whoa that is a crazy loud clicking sound! Rooting for you to get some technical support! Does it make the sound when the board is off & you spin wheel, or just when motor is running?
Small consolation, but at least slow packs of pedestrians can now hear you and let you pass! Today I got stuck going 2 mph behind a large group of people who had no idea I was behind them. #RedOctober

RE: What happened to support?
Crazy to think that every day there are more owners and older boards. Seems like a scaling nightmare for a new small company. And I'm sure they've been primarily focused on production rather than ramping up support. Hopefully just growing pains and they will figure it out.
I emailed a pretty simple request/question to support recently and it took 8 days to get a response (with an apology for the delay). They must really be in the thick of it.

RE: Fender Art
Not as cool as the water printing above, but for some quick art I made some BTTF-themed stickers for my fender. Used stickeryou.com -- 10 bucks for full 8.5x11 page of custom stickers.

RE: NYC Riders - Help out a TOTAL Newbie?
Hey I'm not in NYC but got mine a month ago and had similar experience eating shit in my living room. Looking back, a) it's a lot easier outside in open spaces....indoors the walls come at you fast and easy to panic when not used to the thing, and b) find a level grassy/soft area and practice getting on, going a little, getting level, and jumping off with both feet A LOT. The one-heel-up stop is slick but it's the 2-foot jump off that will save you whenever you feel unstable or out of control. The learning curve is steep but quick....after only a few hours it really started to take for me. Good luck!
