Re: Android 8 issues
I updated my operating system to Android 8.0.1 today and connected to my board for the first time in 6 months!!! So excited
@badcheese That's crazy! I have the same firmware and my board drops the nose and cuts out at about 15 mph and it's about all I can do to recover without wiping out. I approach the speed very cautiously and gradually and it just cuts out on me.
@Dude the older boards have not been updated. They have the old firmware. But the older boards aren't the issue. It's the newer boards with the newer firmware that are slower and less stable at high speed
I just want to confirm what jglide said (I'm his bro). I have put nearly 500 miles on my board so I'm very very familiar with it. I always expressed my frustration that I couldn't keep up with him and his older board. I tried his old boards and noticed a significant difference in pushback that allowed me to instantly feel comfortable pushing 14 mph (on extreme mode). I tried both of his older boards and both are the same. It is faster, more stable, more intuitive and much safer IMHO. J-glide may not have believed me at first but after his friend who used to ride with us (using J-glide's 2nd board) bought her own, she immediately noticed the same differences, confirming that the newer boards are slower, less stable and much much more scary to ride at 14 mph.
THANK YOU!!!!!
One of the first things I would do is watch your feet when you are turning. Inherently, you will tend to lift your toe or your heel more on one for than the other. Find which foot doesn't lift or move on the foot pad and always make sure THAT is the foot that you have on the sensor side! It's not cool when you're beginning to feel confident, you're leaning into a curve and the board suddenly shuts off because your heel or toe lifted! Everyone rides their own way so who knows if it will be your back for or front foot but most everyone moves one foot more than the other.

4 weeks! THANK YOU FM!
@jim Thanks Jim. The tire looked like the same material as rollerblade wheels which are plastic. And I thought I heard someone in the video say it is the same material. But I could be wrong. That was helpful feedback, thanks. I guess, don't knock it till ya try it, right?
I was already excited to get my OW. Now I'm freaking turning inside out!!! I can't wait to do his next mod to mine on the first day it comes in the mail. You guys are going to flip when you see J-glide's next mod. He wasn't kidding about it being on another level!
