@Lia oooh, a camera mount - that's a good thought. although you'd have to be very comfortable with the added need for clearance so you don't go snagging it on anything, if that's what it is.

RE: Dead project and dead community?
maybe everyone's too busy out riding?

RE: Is my PINT broken?
no problem! i hope you start getting more normal mileage with a simple fix.

RE: Is my PINT broken?
@NotSure i have heard about that milk crate thing, but haven't had to try it myself. as for getting ahold of FM, i can say from experience that emailing them is probably the worst way to get ahold of them -- the best way is to call them, by far. and keep trying, until you get through to an agent. sometimes their lines are busy!

RE: Is my PINT broken?
i know that the "1 lb of PSI for every 10 lbs of body weight" is a good rule of thumb, but you might want to try increasing the PSI a bit to see if that helps. aside from that, i do agree that sounds like unusually bad mileage no matter what. you might want to contact FM just to see what they say.

RE: Onewheel cheap mods
@blkwalnutgrwr now THAT'S a MacGyver solution if i ever saw one, haha. well done!

RE: Carbon Fiber Fender (PINT) Craft&Ride
@BIGMil1968 they are SO sexy.

RE: Anyone have the backpack?
i have the Craft & Ride one, and i like it. it is admittedly hard to make such an awkwardly shaped, heavy thing comfortable to carry, but this pack does an all right job. it's sure better than carrying it for long distances by the handle! i also appreciate that it's a nice looking, sturdy bag, and it also holds the charging cable and other assorted things. the only thing i can't do with it is fit my helmet in there on top of one of the footpads, but that's a minor thing.

RE: Everest & Mariana Trench Badge - Got Them.... Send That Stoke Box
wow -- i thought the video said that everyone was starting from scratch, and the app just came out today. is it pulling in your to-date numbers somehow?

RE: Security
@Digitalstyle7 they haven't been officially announced yet, but here's more info on what is known about the Apple Air Tags: https://www.techradar.com/news/apple-airtags

RE: Security
@Digitalstyle7 i would be as careful as you would be with anything you bought that costs $900 -- i never leave my Pint anywhere that i can't see it when i take it out. there's no lock i trust. when i go into a store, i carry it. as for random theft on the street, i think it's something to be conscious of, but i think at this point it's super rare, if it happens at all. people are still becoming conscious of what OWs are, and if someone tried to push you off and make off with one, it weighs a lot more than they probably expect, and i think you'd be able to catch them unless they chucked it into a waiting car and took off.
i do wish there was some sort of digital tracking system, for sure. some people have tried attaching a Tile tracker to theirs, but since it relies on bluetooth and another Tile tracker (i think?) nearby for location, and the distance they extend isn't that great, it's not a great solution, apparently. I am personally encouraged by the news that Apple may be coming out with Apple Tags soon -- a similar device to Tile, but all you need is a nearby iPhone for it to show up on the network for tracking. there are so many iPhones in the world, it seems like it might be a viable solution.

RE: Onewheel Pint Foot Pad Error (FIX)
@BIGMil yes, this totally works. i took two strips of velcro and ran them from the fender to the front end, right in the middle of each "side" like you did with your dots, and i almost never have any foot sensor trouble any more.

RE: Pimped Out the OneWheel Pint
@Jerre i don't notice my bumpers being all that scuffed up, but i do have a spare set of bumpers anyway, just waiting in the wings. i do like how the plates look from the side, though, adding that extra pop of color, but i've also seen some steel ones, which also look pretty great. tempted to try and make my own...

RE: Pimped Out the OneWheel Pint
@BIGMil i had no idea Sharpie made oil paint markers! that's awesome! it really looks sharp. suddenly i'm kinda wanting float plates, even though i don't do anything that really needs them, lol

RE: Pimped Out the OneWheel Pint
@BIGMil ohh nice -- did you just hand-paint the raised parts on the tire? what did you use?
