JUST GOT MINE. EXPECTATIONS EXCEEDED!!!
SO MUCH FUN!!!
WOW! I rode Mission for about 130 miles while I was learning how to ride this thing, but once I switched to Delirium have not looked back! I get that Mission is a little more stable for straight line pavement riding, but I find Delirium deals with uneven pavement better (which is the norm around here). Seriously considering not using anything but Delirium going forward!
In my opinion, for whatever that's worth, I think Delirium is easier to ride, but mission is more fun.
I might give mission a slight edge on perfectly smooth pavement, but those conditions are rare where I live. Plus it is fun to go back and forth and blast from street to grass to dirt.
I preordered the XR and am super excited!! I do have some questions about learning to ride though.
A bit about me, I've been surfing and snowboarding since the 90s, used to skate some, so decent balance. Crashed plenty of times in those endeavors (when younger).
I'm 40 now, so the body bag doesn't bounce like it used to, and it would be a major inconvenience to break a bone.
I'm for sure getting a helmet. Would it be worth it to get wrist guards while I learn the board? anything else? I do plan to start off slow, but the goal is to get to where I can commute on the board.
Oh yes, what helmets are people using for around town kind of stuff?
@doublebull It might just be production is slower than anticipated. I used to work with a custom manufacturer and we were always running into delays. A guy on the line was sick or pulled to work on another project, a part shipment delayed, could be anything really. But hopefully they're ironing out the kinks!
