    • RE: OneWheel Car Charger

There has been a lot of discussion on portable chargers in the past... I was under the impression that the power need for the ultra charger exceeds what is available via a cigarette lighter (using decent inverters).

If you have one made that is designed to work with the cigarette lighter i would expect charging time to increase.

    • RE: ow+ whirring noise while balancing?

@suboba I can't hear anything in your video, but admittedly didn't turn up speakers much in my office.

Mine does makes slight noises when balanced. Keep in mind: even if you're not moving, the motor/electronics are still fully engaged in helping you keep balance.

The board is working even when you're not moving. If you have any question as to just how much it is doing in the background, power off your OW and try to balance on it - trust me, you'll notice it immediately.

    • RE: Large circle heel turns still difficult

@kohesion heelside turns are easier for some folks (including me) because the way our knees bend makes it easy to quickly shift weight in that direction. That having been said, it does mean that you might feel a bit more like "falling" because of the same reason: since it is easier to quickly shift weight backwards as opposed to forward, you might tend to compensate by keeping weight more generally forward in your "nuetral" stance.

As groovy alludes, the answer is to compensate the "falling" with proportionate acceleration and direction change. Try leading your turn with your shoulder.

Another key tip in early stages: try to keep your weight generally centered over the tire. Don't "lean" as much as shift your weight (think shoulder/hips) so that you can work the board almost like levers.

    • RE: Tried Delirium yet?

@keithers Immediately after updating the firmware they will still show locked. You should just restart the app; it should reconnect to the board and now confirm the board has the new firmware, after which the modes will show unlocked.

    • RE: Onewheel+ just got better. The new Andromeda is here

      @heyitsme actual stats:

      source: http://www.businesswire.com/news/home/20170510005805/en/Strategy-Analytics-Apple-iPhone-7-Worlds-Best-Selling

I'm not trying to start an argument, but complaints about the business case of focusing on iPhone over android are misinformed. Two of the world's five best selling phones are iPhones.

And from a development standpoint, android can be a headache at times due to the fractured nature of the device market. there are a LOT of potential versions and hardware platforms, which can drive more difficult dev/test/customer support cost.

It's also worth noting that FM wholly replaced the app this year based on the great work done by a OWer independently, so it's no surprise that platform (iPhone) is still leads android releases.

i know it's an inconvenience, but for now you can borrow a phone, ipad, ot touch to do the upgrade and you can change modes manually on the board.

    • RE: Onewheel+ just got better. The new Andromeda is here

I can confirm the update worked on my board.

One tip: after firware upgrade, new modes still showed locked. Had to restart app, then they unlocked and worked fine.

On my way to golf course right now, but will try out new modes later. Looking forward to hearing other reactions from field!

    • RE: One Wheel+ not balancing out when I first step on it

@Antares14943 not sure if this relates to your situation, but I think one common cause of this is turning the board on before it is sitting on the ground (e.g., being carried, on end, etc). make sure the board is in the "starting" position when you power on, and as mentioned above you can use the "kick test" to ensure it's engaged before you step on.
