    • RE: Is your Pint footpad sensor "faulty" consistently?

I've had lots of problems with the sensor on my Pint, including the foot pad sensor errors. This was the case even when wearing Vans waffle soles.

I used the same hack that a lot of people have used - adding sticky velcro circles over the grip tape. That seemed to fix the issue, although I've not ridden it that much as I mainly ride my XR.

    • RE: Board Names?

Decided I probably ought to get round to naming my boards in the app, so went for 'XlcR' for my XR, and 'Pint of no return' for my Pint.

    • RE: Pints in the Wild... Post What Is Good / Not So Good. LET THE RIDE BEGIN!

@DashinglyHunter The Pint wasn't too bad - I came off a bit worse. There was pushback, which I ignored. I'm going to keep the speed down in future!

@a_onekatie Here's the top speed I've had on my Pint - 19.6 mph. But as you might remember, this was at the point that I nosedived! 😢

    • RE: Onewheel Pint | Pushback

@J0nKn1ght Note to self - don't ignore pushback. I nosedived the day after posting this, hitting my head, grazing my shoulder, elbow and knee, cutting my fingers, and deflating my ego. Luckily, I was wearing a helmet, elbow pads and wrist guards, otherwise I'd probably be in hospital with concussion of worse.
Checked my app after getting home, and it said that my top speed was 19mph, which is a speed the Pint isn't supposed to go.

    • RE: OW Owners: Injury Survey

@flix123 This survey is a great idea. Could you update it for the Pint? I had a serious nosedive last week (my fault, but it's still annoying), but as it was on a Pint I don't want to do the survey until it can cater for it. Thanks.

    • RE: Commuting on the Pint

@OneDan @a_onekatie Having slept on it, I think that it probably was my fault. It happened when I had just moved off a level path onto a slight incline, and I think that I might have shifted my weight forward to compensate for the change, whilst it was still giving me a speed pushback.
I guess that'll teach me not to try and go the same speed as the XR on a Pint.

    • RE: Commuting on the Pint

@a_onekatie thanks Katie. I was on skyline. I thought that the way pushback worked was that it would steadily increase to the point that your tail was on the ground.
This was definitely just a cut out of the motor, which is when the nose hit the deck. The only information that I've been able to find about error 16 (posted on this forum) was that it indicates that the motor couldn't communicate with the battery.
My hip took some of the impact as well, so I'm pretty achey. Hoping that I've not got concussion, as my helmet dents show how hard I hit the ground.
I think that your probably wise to stick to redwood. I think the problem was that I'd got used to the speed of the XR.
Probably won't be riding for a while, and I can't wait for the comments that my colleagues at work will have when they see my battle scars!

    • RE: Commuting on the Pint

Ok, so I tried my first commute on a Pint today, and it didn't end well!
To put this into context, I've only been riding Onewheels for a few weeks, so I'm not an experienced rider by any means, but I'm not sure this was down to anything I did.
I bought an XR a few weeks ago, whilst waiting for my Pint to arrive, so I've ridden the XR to and from work a couple of times with no issues.
Today was my first commute on the Pint, which arrived last week. I noticed that the pushback was much harder than on the XR, but I've not tried to push through it - just kept to the speed with the nose in the air.
The journey into work was ok, but I was riding home through a park on the way home, probably about 4 miles into my ride, with a full charge at the beginning of the ride, and it suddenly cut out and nosedived at about 14-15mph.
I hit the ground pretty hard (see the pic of my helmet) and despite having elbow pads on, grazed my elbow and cut my fingers.
I had the app running at the time, and it said that there was an error 16. The lightbar was just flashing red. After restarting it, it worked ok again, but I kept the speed down (partly as I still felt a bit dazed from the fall).

I've just contacted FM support, which is what the error 16 message said to do, so I'll post their response when I get one. Has anyone else experienced an issue like this?

I don't want to scare anyone, but just to say - be careful out there, and always wear protection!

      Always wear a helmet!

    • RE: Your Pint Shipping Date

@Daymos I got an SMS from FedEx with a link to their payment site, I think when the package was still in transit to the UK. Then you just pay by credit card on their site.
As I mentioned, I queried the £12 charge that they added when the Pint was shipped, which delayed things for a couple of days. I just paid the amount straight away for the accessories, and it actually arrived a day ahead of schedule.
