    • RE: Battery diagnostics gone with new app upgrade

Yeah this is huge for me. Observing the balance of the cells in my battery is a great way to monitor battery health. Losing this ability makes me feel less able to care for my hardware. Maybe it's placebo but I really miss it. Please bring it back!

    • RE: Onewheel+ review from an experienced snowboarder, no prior OneWheel experience

Do what you want but I've ruptured very modern well made soft case LiPos in RC trucks after hard impacts and something crushing the battery too hard on impact. Better safe than sorry; LiPo rupture reaction is hot enough to melt plastic even if it's in a lipo bag, and the amount of smoke that comes out would wreck anything in your backpack as well as your backpack. In my experience, soft case LiPos need a hard case.

If you go the LiPo route, please take note of the (pvc?) cylinder @sonny123 is holding the batteries in. That is vital! The kind of crash and roll you'd do off a OW could definitely damage a soft case LiPo and fill your bag with thousand degree smoke.

    • RE: Newbie (Real World!) Beginners Manual.

As a total n00b I am grateful for this post. I've been lurking these forums for months and didn't know it existed; so thanks for the bump @MichaelW ! If this post could be pinned I would support that.

    • RE: Hydrophobic Treatment? 🌬🌊

Yes I used to waterproof ESCs and servos with plastidip or corrosionX. I found the latter to be super effective; I'm wondering if you could fill the battery compartment with it and pour it out to achieve the waterproof coating it creates. With car LiPos though the batteries were never an issue so I don't know how this would affect the OW battery.

Use them like roller skate brakes?

    • RE: Is there anything that needs routine cleaning or oiling/maintenance?

I've never been a skater but I have been deep into radio controlled car management and have found that for lubrication and corrosion resistance, including electronic parts (which is why I make this comment) there is nothing like Corrosion X. You can get it in a kit designed for guns which has a tiny applicator which might be good for the OW.

I don't have a OW+ yet (some day!) but this will be my tool of choice unless y'all suggest otherwise!

    • RE: An update'ish on order #74**

@skyman88 this is a great idea. I can't believe there could be an unclaimed + somewhere nearby ... my order number is 10xxx so I'm happy to look at alternatives!

@HansBoobie That thing looks incredible. Any concerns about keeping cool in Mexican summer?
