Now its my time to have such problem.. My V1 is two years old and 400 miles on it, and never had any issues, only scratches.. But three weeks ago I rode to completely empty the batteries and forgot to recharge right after getting home.. That moment I think, I killed my board. Leaving the batteries empty for too long is deffenetly not good as the electrical circuits drains electric current even when not on.
When I try to recharge, the green lights goes on and the pulsing blue light indicates the battery is full, but the app say 0%.
Well, sending the board back to FM is not an option for me.
Tryed everything as you guys suggested but with no luck.
Next step is disassembling and trying to recharge each bat cell separately..
With luck the BMS will work afterwards

RE: New app is here
@timvdp I didn't notice any changes but my current top speed is gone.. :( have to try again

RE: New app is here
The new app is now available for Android users now.. just downloaded it

RE: Casey got the + hand delivered from ceo Kyle
That not fair... I want it more than he does..
How many miles do you think he will ride that board?
10 is my guess.. -
RE: Onewheel Plus Hill Climbing Ability
I'm really considering buying the V2 in late July/August..
Do you think the V2 can handle a BMX track? There's a professional BMX track in my town and I never could make a complete lap with the v1.. I always stuck up in the third slope.. it's a 5 feet high aclive with 70-80 degrees inclination..
I think a 20℅ power boost is what I need -
RE: 10+ Mile V1... We can do it :)
@Zen.Potatoes maybe this will help you:

RE: 10+ Mile V1... We can do it :)
@Zen.Potatoes As far as I remember, the battery pack is already a 16 x 26650. Did you try to open the blue plastic wrap to check it out?
The BMS measures each cell voltage, so changing the cells may not be a problem. Again I'm not completely sure. Some electronic geek could give us the answers. -
RE: Flying and TSA?
I bought my OW in LA in June and got back to my country without any issues.. I knew TSA would confiscate my board so I had to disassemble it and separate it in three different bags. The wheel and tire in one bag, rails and controller in other bag, battery pack in hand luggage. I took care to wrap the battery in a sealed plastic bag as requested by the airliner. I covered the OW logo with duck tape and flattened the tire (no pressured devices allowed in bags). Back at home, I opened the bag with the wheel, there was a TSA inspection note inside, they checked my bag but did not confiscate anything.
It's really a pain in the ass to disassemble the board, I'll never do it again.
I'm hoping for a solution from FM .. OWing is a must when visiting other countries.. we really need green passes in airplanes -
RE: Foot sensor pad in the back?
I had a crazy idea the other day. Instead of foot sensors, a clip attaches the front shoe to the board. Anyone here ride bicycles? The clip pedals are a must in mountain bikes when riding off-road, bumpy or rocky surfaces. Easyly deattach by twisting your feet. If the OW sensor is replaced by a clip pedal, it would activate the board if the front foot is clipped and deactivate 1 or 2seconds after unclipping the front foot. I think even little jumps with the board would be possible

RE: Backup Battery
@Count Did you try to assemble the OW again to see if it works? Or need to recalibrate or something like that?
-
RE: BOSTON - can I try out your OneWheel?
You are lucky you don't need to pay 96% tax over ow+shipping.. so i will buy the board next week in LA and hope I can bring it back in the plane

RE: Current lead time?
Just wondering, is there any physical shop in LA area where I can buy it, or just online?
-
RE: Current lead time?
Anyone knows the current lead time? I'm planning visiting LA the next month and thinking about buying OW.. If I buy it online now will it be available in June 11?

RE: Can anyone recommend a car inverter to use to charge a Onewheel?
@thegreck yeah 6 times, but I wouldn't do that very often..
-
RE: Can anyone recommend a car inverter to use to charge a Onewheel?
@JimBarnes The OW manual says the charger has 300VA. Assuming its power factor is 0.8 and efficiency 80%, the charger needs 300W from the inverter. So you need 300W output from the inverter. Assuming inverter efficiency 80%, it drains 375W from your car battery. At 12volts, its about 31A. Car outlets are not capable for such electric current, even changing the fuses, the wires are not designed for that. So connecting directly to the car battery is the solution.
@thegreck If your battery capacity is 80Ah, and fully charged, its about 80Ah*12V=960Wh. So I guess you can recharge OW ~6 times before your car won´t start -
RE: Flying To The UK With OW
I was in China last year.. When coming back to my country, the airport security didn't let me take my Airwheel with me, so I had to take off the battery and leave it there.. When back in Brazil I got new batteries. Problem solved.
You can take your Onewheel with you in plane, but without the bateries.. Problem is this batteries are Li-phospate, I think are more difficult to find in UK. I recommend you post your onewheel by mail to yourself in UK.. Your gonna get it a feel days later
