    • RE: Ouch - OW stopping on flat ground for no reason

Thanks guys. I try to be careful with foot position, but I agree that's probably the most likely culprit. I wish that it would only come to a dead stop at less than 2 mph or something.

I was in the middle of a crosswalk, having stopped on the corner, so I'm guessing I was going about 5 MPH. I was wearing flats.

    • Ouch - OW stopping on flat ground for no reason

      Hi guys,
I'm just sitting here with the entire left side of my body stinging. I was going across a paved crosswalk on a busy street in Seattle. Suddenly the nose just went down and I crashed.

After I scrambled off the street and waved to all the concerned citizens looking at me from the Starbucks, I went to get back on and the OW was off.

Does anyone know what might be causing this? I keep getting more and more comfortable with it, then something like this happens and I'm scared to get on it again!

    • Onewheel Etiquette

      Hi everyone,
We're going into new territory with the OW, and I wonder what the etiquette rules are. For example, I try to go really slow around pedestrians on the sidewalks in Seattle. I don't want to make anyone feel intimidated. We recently saw someone zipping through crowds, and we thought it was kind of rude. I don't want people making a bad name for OW riders.

So what do you think are the rules? What's a considerate way to ride? Should we be on the sidewalks or in the bike lane? What's rude OW etiquette? Discuss...

    • Backpack?

I've only had my OW a few days, but I'm definitely thinking about what to do with it when you arrive at your destination. I'm in Seattle, so the OW is a gritty mess with leaves stuck all over it when I'm done. It's heavy as hell too so I'm thinking something with wheels, but all I've found thus far I think I'd feel dumb toting around on my back as I ride...

There's this guy, which makes the mannequin look like he's about to fall over.

      And then this one.

Do you think these look to big to be riding around with?
