I would guess that it senses the amount of current being drawn to power the motor.... basically the harder it is working, the more power it takes. They most likely pushback at a safe point before the motor just couldn't handle the load.

RE: Pint under the rain
@BaWoW I'm a new onewheeler... live in the Seattle area. Haven't had it long but have ridden in light/misty rain a couple of times. No issues. Very wet sidewalks... same. Never had a feeling of it slipping or anything. I did go slower though, maybe average of 8mph. With any speed the rain hitting you isn't any fun, I couldn't imagine doing it in full downpour.

RE: Onewheel Pint | Pushback
I have just had mine three days now, but I have over 23 miles in. I have definitely hit pushback at 14 - 14.5 mph in Pacific mode. Today I was pushing it a bit harder and the pushback seems like it is in response to that. I had two times that it rocked me back pretty good. One did startle me a bit. But I really think it is good and it does it for a reason. Before today I hit the speed but not with fast acceleration... and the pushback was a lot more gentle.

RE: One wheel pint front sensor pad
The motor should never click off when you are over 1MPH. I have actually had it notify me that me foot is off while I was practicing turning. It WAS off, so no problems here. But, with it fully off on one side the motor did not click off at all. That's super dangerous. I would contact support.

RE: Pint charging port cover DIY
Why not just get the official ones? https://onewheel.com/collections/pint-accessories/products/pint-charger-plugs. (This should have been included, though :-( )

RE: Your Pint Shipping Date
Ordered in July, #62xxx .. Will be here tomorrow! Yayyyy. Two super annoying things at the end, though: shipping label was created Monday at noon and they didn't even get it out the door on time so it delayed shipping another day :-( And the week leading up to this it showed in production the whole time. I'm sorry but it doesn't take a whole week to put this together. Assembled in modules, IM SURE, should be within a day. It's as if they do a whole week at a time and then try to ship them all on a Monday. Crazy.

RE: Shoulder Protection
Has anyone tried something like the armored hoodies for protection? They have built in shoulder and elbow pads. Seems like a nice way to go... https://www.ssgear.com/product/152/run-with-the-bulls-armored-hoody-cotton. Maybe not in summer, but now that it will be cooling off a bit. I wish they had something lightweight like that with waterproofing too :-)
