RE: The mystery for jumping up curbs without bindings has been solved. Are you ready to fly?
Help understanding "overcharge"
I'm reading the OW+ manual and the section that talks about charging advises never to undercharge or overcharge your board. The same manual also says to occasionally leave your OW plugged in overnight.... huh? Would leaving your OW plugged in all night after it is fully charged not be considered overcharging?
I know that you shouldn't ride down a steep hill after a fresh charge as the regenerative battery would already be at 100% and explode or something, however, this is mentioned in a different part of the manual and doesn't use the word overcharge anywhere so I'm not making the connection.
Any thoughts? Thank in advance!
RE: Do vehicles honk/yell at you for no apparent reason?
i have yet to get honked at for a legitimate reason - i always avoid cars in my neighborhood using the alleys and sidewalks. if there is cross-traffic i will sometimes get honked at because i think the drivers don't realize the board is able to stop and they think i'm just going to cruise right through an intersection. i equate it to a dog seeing something it doesn't understand so it just barks. nothing gets accomplished, they're just too stupid to know what else to do so they make a loud noise. it makes me chuckle. i love dogs for the record.
RE: Question for urban riders
the highest I can manage right now is about a 4" to 5" curb and I make it without stumbling off the board about 80% of the time.
my personal preference: i hit the curb at 90 degrees, going 5 to 7 mph, and i do a jump as i approach the curb and use the spring of tire to give the board a bit of a 'bounce' to help it up the curb - that, and since you're jumping the board will only be carrying it's own weight.
i've also found that when i hit a curb at 90 degrees but don't make it i'm able to stay upright and just run off the board whereas hitting a curb at an angle and not making it almost always causes me to lose my footing and fall on my ass :)
RE: Tried Delirium yet?
I tried Delirium for the first time last night as was blown away - definitely the best ride I've had so far. I feel much more in control of the board. Even ran right into the corner of a curb by accident and recovered smoothly without wiping out or flailing my arms to regain my balance.
