So why is it that both tires claim the same diameter of 11.0"? Is it simply that a wider tire at the same PSI will balloon the center of the tire further than the narrow one?

RE: Hoosier Treaded Tire & Rubbing (w/ solution)
@gwinntanamo my biggest concern about such a high PSI is not how well the board performs but rather how much it will beat up my knees. I presume that with a rounded tire profile the smaller contact area requires higher PSI to match the 'squishiness' (for lack of a better word) of the Vega, but I wouldn't have expected as much as 45 PSI.

RE: OW Bluetooth connection broken on Android 8.0.0 ('Oreo').
@heyitsme Android has always been an afterthought for FM. As you say, they had an eternity to test, and I wouldn't be surprised if it never even occurred to them.

Looks like people were way ahead of me.

(I already emailed support to let them know about the issue.)

OW Bluetooth connection broken on Android 8.0.0 ('Oreo').
tl;dr: Android 8.0.0 ('Oreo') breaks connectivity with Onewheel+ (and presumably Onewheel as well).
Details: I work at Google and installed Oreo on my Nexus 5X as part of an internal effort to find critical issues before general public release. AFAICT, Android's Bluetooth code was updated to be more compliant w.r.t. the specification, but causes it to ignore some BT devices that send a too-long data advertisement packet (zero-padded). Apparently this is common enough that a fix has been patched into AOSP (https://goo.gl/q2dQsL) to be more tolerant of such malformed packets, but it's not part of the initial release and will take time to get into an OTA update. Those with a Nexus or Pixel phone -- which get updates directly from Google -- are the most likely to be affected. Future Motion would need to push a firmware update to fix this, so a quick fix from them is also unlikely.

RE: Anyone notice an adjustment to the app's speedometer?
I noticed a similar drop. Before the update the OW app would give a top speed typically at or above the top speed of my GPS app. But with Andromeda it's always two or three miles per hour lower.

RE: Onewheel+ at speed: a word of caution.
@tony-at-83 yep, it's sad. Nice top speed!

The + sure is pretty and less beat up than my original! Wish I got to ride it even for 1 mile though...
I've read great things about ISC Helicopter-OG-HD Surface Guard Tape: 1 in. x 30 ft., just ordered some to put on my OW's rails. One rail already scratched up a bit but I might be able to save the other! 🤞 Stuff is supposed to be super clear and durable.

@ahxe45 looks alphabetical to me too.

RE: Onewheel+ at speed: a word of caution.
@ahxe45 yep, leaderboard top speed is capped at 22.24 MPH for the OG Onewheel.

RE: Onewheel+ at speed: a word of caution.
@trappar
if you got your plus on Friday then you've probably discovered that it's not as easy as finding a hill. A more powerful motor means it can push back pretty hard, even downhill. Am I right?I skimmed too quickly and missed that you'd already answered my question. Sorry about that. -
RE: Onewheel+ at speed: a word of caution.
Looking more and more like FM wants to limit the OW+ to 23.25 MPH!

RE: Future Motion, I need more pushback
@Earthpilot said in Future Motion, I need more pushback:
Could them tweaking the Android app have something to do with the software or firmware or whatever of the board? IT guys/ computer savvy if you could chime in on this.
There hasn't been an update to the Android app recently so that's unlikely.

RE: Corner scraping
@mekon I recommended against the aluminum only because the bond is so strong it might be difficult to remove if you ever wanted to. I'm sure either will work on the aluminum as well. But don't pay $15 for epoxy putty - way too much. Even cheaper than Amazon if you get it at Home Depot.
-
RE: Another + review
@aris is your v1 tire rounded on the edges? Mine is and I think it improves carving.
-
RE: Corner scraping
Awesome. Let me know how it turns out, @shaka-wheeler.
-
RE: Onewheel+ at speed: a word of caution.
@tonyrumans pushback does drop off a bit when carving, totally agree.

RE: Corner scraping
@shaka-wheeler get some epoxy putty to rebuild the corners that have worn away (the bumpers, not the aluminum). Once cured (like 20 minutes) it should last a long time.
