    • Anyone notice an adjustment to the app's speedometer?

      Hey guys,
Did anyone else notice an adjustment to the speedometer with the latest app release?

After updating the app and switching to Delirium on my Onewheel plus, I noticed that what I perceived as traveling 20mph (from what the previous app readout told me) was now displaying around 18mph.

I've been riding the Onewheel for two years now and the plus as soon as it was released, so I immediately noticed the difference in the app speedometer readout. I also thought it was strange that my absolute speed now reads 18.6 mph when I know it was around 21 mph. I double-checked the leader board on the app and it still says my old absolute speed of 21.73 mph.

Not a big deal to me... the board is fast is all I need to know. :) But just wondering if anyone else noticed this on their app.

    • RE: Onewheel accelerates without reason & self balance gone

@OnewheelFlorida When I first got my board 8 months ago, I had the exact same thing happen when I was in Classic mode! The pushback crept up on me and I soon found myself flying at full speed with the tail almost touching the ground. It was the pushback but I guess at that time I didn't recognize it.

After a week, switching to "Extreme" fixed all that and the "pushback" felt like what I would expect. I haven't gone back to "Classic" since then, and I kind of want to try "Classic" again just to see if the pushback really was different... Its been 8 months since I tried it, but I kind of feel like the pushback in Classic isn't as immediate as in "Extreme" and because of that I didn't recognize it.

It's kind of fun experimenting in controlled situations with the limits of the board. Sometimes I will intentionally nose-skid the board to practice recovering from it. I found a lot of times if you get beyond the initial shock of something unexpected like tail-skidding or nose-skidding, you don't always have to bail from your board, and instead you can recover and keep going.

Any how, welcome to the club! :)

    • RE: Before the OneWheel... there were tractors?

Amazing... It says that Taylor started development on it in 1939!

Onewheels blew people away in 2015... could you imagine people in 1950 seeing something like that?!

    • Forum request for resetting PW if forgotten

@Future-Motion Love this forum but a few months ago I forgot my password and I didn't see a "Forgot PW" option to reset my PW. Maybe that option is available, but if so, I totally missed it.

Thankfully tonight I actually remembered it! :)

Do you think a "Forgot PW" option could be added to the Login screen please for those of us with lousy memory? :)

      Thanks!

We actually haven't had any luck finding a portable AC outlet that is strong enough to charge the board. Most are unable to handle the power needed and we have seen a few batteries ruined. We are working to extend our range though!

      All the best,
      Onewheel Team

Yikes! I haven't had problems with my battery yet, but I guess I could be damaging it without knowing. The battery I bought recommends not fully depleting it, so I don't do a full second charge.

I guess a stronger battery would be better to avoid damage, but I don't think I would want to haul around a battery heavier than the one I currently have (just under 6lbs).

If my battery does get ruined, I'll warn/post about it here. :)
(Haven't gone long distances lately... been a bit hot the past few weeks in Los Angeles.)

    • RE: Funky Battery Issue

Hey @sidebox , just curious... after your Onewheel dies, does the blue ring light blink any error codes?

I noticed your last screen cap shows the motor temp was at 132.80° (on my screen caps, I've gone up to 122°).

Now, I have no clue what the motor max temp on the Onewheel is or if push back occurs when it reaches max temp, but I found it interesting that in the owners manual there is an error code for "Over-temperature".

      Hope your issue gets resolved.

    • RE: Tire stem LED

@BradK Ever thought of making a inner hub light with a centrifugal force switch? Maybe instead of a stem cap, something could sleeve the stem at its base.

Just throwing this idea out there... :)
