RE: Introducing Gemini
@Future-Motion said in Introducing Gemini:
Well, that's a bummer. I just got an email that said "Every Onewheel just got BETTER! Introducing Gemini Firmware." So, I tried to do the ones currently in the office (two originals and a plus) and the originals didn't accept it. So I thought "well, soon" and popped in to check the expected date, and found:
The new Gemini firmware leverages the increased power of the Hypercore motor found in Onewheel+ and Onewheel+ XR so unfortunately this update is not transferable to original Onewheels.
So, it's not "Every Onewheel just got BETTER!" after all.

RE: Onewheel Plus Enamel Pin now available!

Any plans to offer one with just the OneWheel logo?

RE: A thought: post your OW+ shipping notifications w/ first two digits of order #?
Just got the confirmation mail for #850x. So, about 60 more since @DillonFla posted #844x yesterday.

RE: Onewheel hard travel case would be sweet!
Hopefully, the OneWheel guys will pop in and say how they transport the things to events.
Technically, you're not supposed to travel with devices having lithium batteries over 100Wh without getting permission from the airline.
You probably won't be able to carry one on. The common carry-on limit for US airlines is 22x14x9. The OneWheel is 30x11x9. Even at an angle, it won't fit any carry-on case.
I wouldn't check it in a cardboard box. Pelican cases are pretty much industry standard for checked baggage. It will fit in a Pelican 1650, with the OneWheel sideways at a diagonal to the case. Two OneWheel will fit in a Pelican 1730 or 1740.
